Wow. You have balls of steel if you accomplished that marathon. I wouldn’t be anywhere close to finished if I did that. I’m usually way too busy.

I know, it was insane to accomplish. Looking back, I don't think I ever thought, "Am I gonna make it, or am I gonna fail?" I just kept going, as if my life depended on it...

Thank you, and great choice for a favourite! If you're interested, I did a second video where I review my Simpsons DVD collection. Just go on the channel and search for "More Simpsons".

I had my first exposure to The Simpsons as a toddler! As The Simpsons was only on Sky One and we wouldn’t get Sky until spring 96, my only means of watching it was 2 VHS volumes we happened to have, containing a total of 4 season 1 episodes!
@Gondarth5 жыл бұрын
2 videos of only 4 Season 1 episodes? I know Season 1 wasn't that bad, but only two episodes per video is a tad disappointing. I'd consider that a rip-off, and that's coming from someone that happily watched High Stakes Sonic.

Gondarth yeah, I agree that is a bit pathetic, but it’s what a lot of shows did back in the day. While my family and I have always been in good financial shape, we didn’t have many VHS tapes back in the day (from what I remember), but we did have plenty in the way of toys, music CDs and video games! VHS tapes I remember having back then: - the 2 Simpsons tapes I mentioned - 1 Ivor The Engine tape (with dragons) - 1 Thomas tape (the 1991 best of tape with 18 episodes from season 2) - 1 Disney Sing Along tape, The Bear Necessities - a few movies, including Fantasia, The Land Before Time and (if I remember correctly) The Jungle Book I also remember we got the Star Wars Trilogy on VHS after seeing it at a friend’s house on Laserdisc!

@@Gondarth Your not the only one who marathoned to this extreme. Recently I bought "Ducktales: Volumes 1 ,2 and 3". With Volume 1 having 27 episodes, and Volumes 2 and 3 having 24 each. That's a total of 75 episodes. Day 1, I spent the entire day on Volume 1, Day 2, was Volume 2, and Day 3 was Volume 3. As soon as a disc of episodes was finished, I would instantly go straight to the next disc. 75 episodes covered, in just 3 days.

Funny thing is that this is one of these shows that I still need to catch up on, the others being Doctor Who (both classic and new eras) and SpongeBob SquarePants. Even if I have thousands of merchandising products of this franchise, I haven’t seen every episode in the 13 years of watching it. I also remember playing the PS2 games of The Simpsons, more specifically ‘Hit and Run’ in which case that game is a bit like GTA really. :P I had a hell of a great time playing that game since I was 6 years old.

If you're wanting to catch up on the show, don't do it the way I did. That is the worst thing you could do...

Whoa! That story you talked about with the marathon was insane! I dunno about you, but there is no way in hell that I would be able to watch a long-running show like The Simpsons for 5 1/2 hours straight every single day from start to finish! On an average, 5 episodes per day would be my limit, but not 17! Other than that, very interesting episode. Probably my favorite from you in 2019 :)
@Gondarth5 жыл бұрын
Yeah, that's the problem for me, Mike. I've never been able to say no to a dumb challenge. The whole 10-15 episode per day thing got old after about a week or two. Not that the episodes were bad or anything. I was just sick of it. Not one of my brightest moments, but hopefully it gives everyone a laugh or two :D

I started watching The Simpsons when it was on BBC Two in the early 2000s whilst it was on Sky One for people who had Sky. But I love The Simpsons, South Park, Family Guy, Futurama and Rick and Morty, these are my favourite adult cartoons.

Ever watched South Park? If so, will you ever do a video on it?
@jordanhowell77985 жыл бұрын
I've watched South Park and I love that show as much as I do with The Simpsons, Family Guy, Futurama and Rick and Morty.

I've seen South Park, but I didn't like it that much. I consider it to be a little too crude for my liking, so I won't be doing a video for it.
