I remember playing The Sims 3 for as much as 18 hours a day back in 2009 when I was 10. After The Sims 4 came out, I went and played it at a friends house. It only took 5 minutes to discover I didn't like it. The Sims 3 will always be my #1 favorite game in the series. In the rare chance that they make a 5th game that reverts back to the way 3 was, I will continue to play this 12 year old game! 💻

Sims 3 isn't out on the PS2, and EA hasn't announced that it would be on them yet. And if it were, it might have a good chance it would be only on xbox 360/ps3 and the Wii.

@leyo808 yes i know how to make your sim famous and sign autographs. heres what you do: first, join the musical career at the theater. then, reach the highest level in the music career (level 10). once you reached the highest level of your career, you can go to the theater and have autograph signing and such. hope i helped!!

By what standards? The Sims 4 base game has way more content than The Sims 3 base game had and I'm not talking about all the updates. If you go back to The Sims 3 and play only the base game with no updates you will see how much of a lack of content there was. That is something simmers complained about when it launched was that it was boring because there was nothing to do.

Jonathan, you are very wrong there, not only did we have tools where we could change colours of everything, we had cars, terrain editing, toddlers pools, all of those left out in the base game of Sims 4. It was also open world. I could play it for hours a day, but Sims 4 I am bored in 30 minutes

First, Toddlers and Pools were left out at launch, but not left out of the base game. If someone new where to purchase The Sims 4 right now they would get Pools and Toddlers as well as many more features just be updating and with Pets and Weather rumored to be coming in an update as well The Sims 4 is looking the best it as since launch. It's true we don't have any cars at the moment, but they aren't really needed as we have a closed world. terrain editing while we don't have it, a lot of simmers, myself included didn't like it as when you would download a house off the exchange you had to place it on a lot it was designed for or it would look ugly and you had to spend time fixing it. But it does come down to what a person prefers. I can't play The Sims 3 for more than 15 minutes without losing my mind over how badly it runs. The frame rate is all over the place and playing in some EP worlds are near impossible as Sims will stop moving until the game can catch up with what is going on. That's why I and many other Simmers play The Sims 4. It runs a lot better. It's true it needs work but updates are coming out faster than they ever did with The Sims 3.

That's the fault of it. Many simmers say they play Sims 4 because it runs better, in fact that's the only reason many people play Sims 4. Not because its better Than Sims 3, but because it runs better, which is not a really good reason for playing a game. Even Sims 2 is better than Sims 4, sure it has the loading screens, but it had all the missing stuff, as well as expansion packs that felt like an expansion pack and not like Sims 4 expansions which feel like reskins of an existing game. Its like what Skyrim did and reskinned their game. Maybe you should check out LGR video calls "2 Years of Meh", but I think many are sim gamers and in denial about just how crap The Sims 4 really is. Weather will not be free and neither will be pets. Hints of Pets is coming as an EP though.

My favorites are the first 3, Sims 1 introduced the classic gameplay we all know and love, Sims 2 introduced many traditions, like weather, generations, and again up. Sims 3 had some amazing features, such as open world, create a style, infinite possibilities in customization, no mods needed. But then, Sims 4 just throws all sims 3 had out of the window. The reason why is so more people can get into The Sims. EA is a business so they want to sell their game to as many people as possible... A lot of simmers complained with The Sims 3 that there were performance issues or that they purchased the game and the system requirements were too high. With The Sims 4 they have decent system requirements an even more simmers are able to play.

Exactly, that is the reason. it's very obvious even for me it was a very hard game because this type of games load so much textures, mods and many things, at least you have to have a very good computer and a very good hard disk too (experience) due to their reading millions stuff of this game. I have games that is even highest in graphics than the sims 3 and they load better because they aren't the same type of game, they are as they are and they work (even installing mods in them). But customizabled games like this need a better speed reader due to the extensive stuffs. I don't know how to explain it, but this is my experience in my computer and tested with different hardwares. So, maybe that's the reason they made it with loading screen due to this, refreshing the game all the time. Problem solved.

Sarah Green you're right it's a shame. Hardware gets better every year sims 3 came out in 2009 my build can run Sims 3 really good with expansion packs. They shouldn't have scaled back so much even if it was to optimize performance it's not a good excuse. They went back to the Sims 2. But even the sims 2 had more content in 3 years. They could have removed the open world but sectioned off neighborhoods, eliminate patterns but keep color wheel. It's great the game runs good....but where's everything else.

Who cares if the Sims 2, Sims 3 , Sims 4 or whatever is the best. The point is that the Sims rocks! I don't really care about the graphics. I feel in love with the Sims in the Sims 1 and the graphics there sucks, but I still learned to love it! Sims are Sims and that's the reason why I'm playing it. Not because they are ugly or what, some people are missing the main reason of why they are playing Sims. Remember that first time when we all played Sims? I don't know about everyone else but I'm playing Sims because it became part of my childhood and I love it! Not just the pc games but also the consoles one's. ***** Actually is not fake, you do realize you could add more lots and sims into the town right? Is the way of how you play on the game, within in the further generations is where the town gets populated. Because you see the rock star sim right there? That's where he reached the top of his career and at first when you start a new game, your sim is poor with no skills and with phew people on the town. Just like the start of any new town, so you have to work on your town and sims of a way to get to the top. I'm pretty sure they were let go because they wanted to "do too much in one pack" lmbo. The boss was like "Take out pools in the base game" and they were like "... are you serious?" "Are you questioning me?" and he fired em. Like I will never forget that big wet spit in the face when the CEO said "It's impossible to add all the features from the last 5 years to The Sims 4. Pools won't make the cut when the game first comes out" POOLS!?!? You'd think he say vampires won't make the cut, celebrities won't make the cut, but POOLS? An optional staple in home-building. That's like not having the ability to add a garage ... oh wait! I mean I could even be reasonable with them having to do tweaks for cars and garages to function correctly, but dang.
