The intro is EVERYTHING. The fire issue…I had the same issue when the kids chemistry table caught fire on the tree house. No one could route it to it. Firefighters died. It took an entire night for it to go out. It was quite the event 😂 glad I caught it on video.

Not having toddler stuff is annoying, but I especially hate when they have a cute new hair cut with a headband or accessory and not a version without. It drives me nuts when the Sim is in a situation where they wouldn't have that hair accessory (like sleep) and you can't change the hair style to match the occasion. But I knew I was getting this the second they announced kitchen counters. T_T

being able to put the appliances in your inventory is a welcome addition but honestly im still holding out hope for kitchen cupboards being made functional for storage - i don't even care about animated doors THAT much at this point lmao, just let me put the small appliances into a counter & have the sim automatically bring it out onto the countertop when cooking with it

I know its not useful for everyone but there is a mod which lets you make kitchen cabinets act like fridges with separate inventories so you could put ingredients in different places. If I remember correctly there's an option to pick whether you want to allow items to spoil or not. Its not the same as being able to put the small appliances away, but its at least better than them just being decoration on the wall. Ravasheen has one for breadboxes and things like that. Trying to remember who did the one for the cupboards. Ravasheen also made a functional garage door item with storage. So there's certainly the potential for doing a similar thing but for kitchen appliances. There's a section for leaving ideas/requests.

this is the PROBLEM with the Sims 4 team bc they released all this packs & they hardly included the toddler & kids on them. with the poolside splash kit i expected them to add more swimwear for both boys & girls also the toddlers.

Cooking WAS the reason I played sims FOR YEARS. I'm a console player so going from cans of beans? in bustin out to REAL FOOD in sims 3 was the peak in my simming experience. I spent DAYS just filling my kitchen with every type of food and climbing the chef career latter over and over. I hope this pack dedicated to my favorite way to play pulls me back into the game!! Last time I was this excited was for the jam making in cottage living!!

I love the wall mounted dish drying rack, it speaks to my Finnish soul. It may not be a proper dish drying cabinet but I think it's the closest we can get to in the sims since you can't actually open cupboards and see what's inside.

I feel like designing little pavilions on community lots for hosting selling tables would be the best idea. Heck, if you're planning on having a permanent spot, you could make it into a food truck or otherwise really decorate it up.

Whoever manages budget for the Sims should allow there to be enough for the team to be able to include content for all life stages, whether that is CAS, build/buy items, or gameplay. There should be an even amount of stuff for everyone in all packs, that way no life stage feels left out.

As a disabled person, I've long given up on any kind of disability representation in the Sims beyond the very superficial and not game changing, like the hearing aids and insulin pumps. It's too controversial (by which I mean both that people are scared of disability and think it's too "serious" and "real world", but also because I think the Sims team are so deeply scared of doing something "wrong" and not being perceived as "woke/liberal/progressive" that they'd rather not try) and would require actual programming, so I don't think any of it's going to come any time soon. I've been asking for disability stuff for *years*, but I really don't think that they want to put resources into it because it needs more than just cosmetics. Idk maybe they'll eventually prove me wrong, but my selfsim can still a) walk b) unaided so I'm going to continue being a sad and cynical Debbie Downer haha 😭

I guess this is the kind of fridge you can get for 2400 EUR 😂A lot of fridges here in Germany have one door and second one below for the freezer and are built in into a kitchen cabinet so they look seamless. This is true for older and newer kitchens. Of course there are also a lot of standalone fridges that look very American.

Couple thoughts. I also missed stuff packs I think that they could’ve taken the smaller five dollar packs and combine them by theme into stuff packs added a gameplay item and increased the value for simmers Maybe it’s because I’ve been playing since forever but I do get really frustrated because I feel like stuff packs should have more stuff in them. I remember when getting a stuff pack meant you were going to get a lot of stuff. And now we’re just so conditioned to expect the bare minimum anything above that is an achievement and it’s super frustrating. I am super sad that my dream of having an adult surviving only selling lemonade as yet again been dashed lol love the video!

But every time I think about buying a sims 4 stuff pack, I look at the list of items and just feel like it isn’t worth it. Yeah lol, I actually already use the baking skill to sell cakes on those vending tables ? Like I was a bit confused when this was announced as i had already been doing cake/pastry stands for years. So it didnt really seem like new gameplay? The new appliances are fun though. Just completely new gameplay, like a lemonade stand for kids. Would have been appreciated. It must have been so easy for them to make this pack - as they can literally just use the same code from the vending tables.

The fire thing is a glitch throughout the game. I’ve been doing the unlucky chef scenario and fire after fire happens. You have to ring the fire brigade and then it’ll let you extinguish the fire.

Had some time to think lol. And i think what would have made the selling tables different then the ones already in game. I would of like to have seen maybe a new branch under the freelancer career. For example. Look for gigs and they tell you where they would like you to setup the table and what category of food to serve that day. Like lets say a sim wants cupcakes for a party at willow creek park. You would bake cakes and sell them at the park. I dont know i just feel like this pack is recycling content we already have and slapping it with a stuff pack price. 😅😂

I'm so glad to see another stuff pack. I do think the price point of stuff packs strikes a good balance between what you pay and variety and usefulness for me, and I can see my using various bits of this one in particular in most of my gameplay. There are a few things I would've loved to see but some of them probably would've pushed things more into game pack territory and the rest are just kinda cutesy little storytelling things.

I like that we can sell all kinds of goodies. I disable needs decay, and so my sim goes to college all day then comes home to sell ice cream and gelato at the most awful hours of the night. It's kinda funky and I like it. But the fact that you can walk away from the new appliances while I'm sitting there for an hour making ice cream is like biting a lemon. Extremely noticeable.

For the lemonade deligracy showed that if you make lemonade then put it in your inventory then the glasses of individual lemonade will be in your inventory and you can add them to the selling table

I think in regards to making sales I think the lower Mark ups of 25% or 10% (can’t recall which is the lowest amount they offer) are the “sale” options. That usually will bring a lot of sims to come over and buy the stuff

Not with this pack but I had a fire problem once and the only way I could solve it I had to keep catching my sims on fire because when the extinguish themselves a bit of surrounding fires also go out lmao

The game wouldn't let me magic fires away because of the fire and the fire people couldn't do anything about it because it was on the wishing well so I had to exit the timeline. Luckily, I'm on console. We have auto-save but nothing else useful. The game is broken and they changed the controls recently to make the game harder to use. (They swapped Switch Sim and Game Speed. And the triggers on Xbox are/were made with a fault.) And you still can't change controls in the Sims, an accessibility feature that's in games far older than The Sims 4. They could've at least done an option. Is the game that broken that they can't add a simple toggle? (Yes, the toggles for other parts of the Options don't work too from what I hear.)

It might be a bit annoying but maybe you could build a little shelter with a roof around the stand, and maybe even put a door on it and lock it from everyone but you.. would solve your problem.
