Fun fact about the Fear-Be-Gone potions: if you put them in a fridge and tell your sim to drink one to remove a fear, it will preemptively remove the fear before they drink it. Then you can cancel the interaction and have just one potion forever to remove fears!

The "sim" you reap as a beginner is the practice dummy not a glitched NPC ^.^ You don't get to reap an NPC at the beginning yet. The pop-up says when you arrive to the scene to practice on the dummy and "head over to his crumpled little body" lol

It's hard to keep track of them when every second you have festival pop-ups, random sims calling you, holidays etc. it's just crazy. Plus the bugginess of the game just adds up. So I genuinely don't blame him 😭💀

Re the sad loss of your save - have you considered saving your family periodically to your Libary? Say after getting a pet/ having a child/ having them age up? I unfortunately did not do that and so lost the girlfriend of one of my Sims who died in an unexpected fire. After that I saved the rest but dince then hsve been doing the above. That way if there IS another F ed up update (and there will be), at least you will still have all uour characters for the next lets play. So glad I did not get Lovestruck, and also that did not play TS4 at all from late June till September so missed the chaos.

You need learn the Copypasto spell. That way, you buy one potion, and replicate it as many times as you want, or care to. Hungry ? Delicioso for a single serving, or Grand Delicioso for a plate of 8 servings. Learn one spell, and you have the choice of both options. Then, there is Celebrato that create some delicious cake perfect for a birthday. Both of those spells will generate a random item : Random recipe or random cake.

I don’t understand why they just don’t recode the game so you can actually have control of your sim I think it would solve a lot of the routing problems the game has. And I wish they would stop with all the pop ups. Some of us don’t want to read a novel. We just want to play the game. It can be so annoying with so many packs there is a pop up every 2 seconds n when ur playing some of them happen as u click on something else so I’m always accidentally accepting or clicking off the pop ups.they need to calm down with the UI and the pop ups everything thing is just getting so clogged up during game play with it all going off constantly

Gypsy is a slur, it’s not an American thing as I’ve heard Romani people confirm this too Edit: it’s a slur. Some people care about it some don’t. That’s literally it lol some people being okay with it or using it doesn’t make it not a slur.

as someone who lives in the uk, many slurs have become very normal to say to the point they arent even seen as slurs. such as the R slur, its very common and unknown to be a slur. same with Gypsy, infact many people in my school didnt believe it was. so i doubt satch meant it with bad intent

@@cheesejunior8738 no I don’t think he did, I think he had no idea it was a slur, which happens, no ones knows everything, but just because it’s said very often doesn’t mean it’s not a slur. Like the r word is still very much a slur, and that one is pretty well known to be a slur. Even if you say it all the time with your friends, it may lose its meaning to you, but it doesn’t lose it’s meaning towards the people that slur is degrading, so it’s still a slur, and once you know it’s considered a slur, you shouldn’t keep using it. It may not affect you specifically, but just saying it’s not a slur because a lot of people say it is still hurting the group of people that consider that word to dehumanize them and be used in a derogatory way towards them. That being said, it’s pretty recently that g,ypsy has been considered a slur, so I understand most people don’t know that. But the r word is definitely widely known to be a slur, and we shouldn’t keep using it 😅

Oh dear. Seeing Satch send Shantelle Chantelle off to work alone reminded me of how Dine Out and Paranormal try to get you to actively participate in normally active situations (I say "situations" because managing a Dine Out restaurant isn't technically a career.)... by making your performance suffer for not being there, which is completely obnoxious imo. Paranormal gives you significant performance losses for failing its freelancer Paranormal Investigator gigs too, which just makes you think that EA wanted to punish you for not going with your sim to every single goddamned gig. Dine Out on the other hand makes you "lose money" if your employees aren't as good as they should be, or maybe just regardless of that. Excuse me, EA. Are you serious? At least let us hire managers to manage the restaurant when we've opened the restaurant while someplace else. I'm not sure if Get to Work retail stores have the same ability to open while you're not on location, but it won't surprise me if it does the same thing if so.

04:32 This is petty of me, but it bothers me so much that the game doesn't put a space after the ellipses... repeatedly. 05:00 It's one thing when it's a mod, but this is official, paid content by a corporation. It just communicates (to me) that they were in a rush and/or didn't care to have a spelling/grammar checker when writing it. It's very rare that I see spelling/grammar mistakes in official games, so when it does happen at several instances within the same pack like this, Idk man, it really stood out to me.

This happened to me with lovestruck. It means something in your save got messed up during the update. Only one of those worlds will work while the other one should be empty. If it doesn't bother you I believe you can just keep playing, but I basically had to make a new save and re place all my lots and townies to fix it If your u have a backup of your saves, you should be able to just swap it out

It’s slur, most people don’t know it’s a slur, but it comes from the word Egypt because after being kicked from their homeland (in/around some parts of India), local Europeans assumed that because of their darker skin they must be from Africa. Love you Satch, but they aren’t (originally) from Romania either. Most people who say it don’t mean anything by it, but knowing is important.😊
