I had to turn off my expansion packs to upload my basegame friendly sims, for lovestruck, because the gallery claimed they had content from all kinds of different packs, even if they didnt. So I turned off my expansions just to upload basegame sims. And lo and behold, when I entered cas with only the base game, nothing on the sims dissapeared - because they were basegame all along!!! This Karen, hate the gallery too. :P Keep Karen-ing Satch, I stand with you. ROFL.

I have this issue, but with inexistent modded content for builds. I do a build with ZERO mods, but somehow it uploads to the gallery as modded. I make sure to turn off any and all mods/cc from the game settings before I even start building, but nope - it somehow uploads as modded... 😫

@@anamakesthingsif you use gallery paintings they will be tagged as CC. If they were created after EA got rid of the legacy version of the sims 4 then the paintings painted from reference regardless will be tagged as cc

my sim has a acne layer which has no acne and he is a adult, this is picked up by the gallery and so it says he has a item from High School Years even tho' it is just the acne layer. which was added in high school years. and wouldn't change the sim whatsoever.

Make sure the traits, aspirations, likes & dislikes aren't from packs. Some of the music likes are from packs and that'll flag your sim as containing that pack.

I wish they'd apply this approach to random townies that are spawned in to cover roles like bartenders, vendors, etc. I know there're mods that accomplish it, but I'd rather that kind of functionality be baked into the game. I'd love to see gallery sims I save as favorites appear in my game rather than the game-generated townies that gradually grow more and more unhinged with each new addition.

It's been a bit since I played, but I think the mod I was using for this was Cepzid Creation's No New Random Townie Generated (found on Patreon for free download). I didn't play it long enough to see whether it would hold out through multiple generations, but I didn't have any issues during my shortish playthrough. Hope this helps!

I 100% agree about the cool and neutral skin tones looking weird. As a cool toned girl, I’m not literal purple like those skin tones are😂 they did a “huge skin tone update” just for 75% of them to look sickly or wrong. I wish they understood that having neutral and cool tones doesn’t mean you’re literally pink, purple or grey lol, I feel like they didn’t even try.

So honestly I will not likely use that feature of pulling from Gallery. My game is modded and for some reason even if I use zero cc it still marks them as modded and the search function sucks on gallery. It is a great idea but the gallery is trash and people hashtag like idiots so I can never find anything.

At the risk of sounding like a conservative sheep, Sims 4 male sims are WAY too feminine. All of the clothes, hair, etc that come with packs are so focused on “pushing gender boundaries” and in my opinion, it affects storytelling ability.

I think the sims are cute, they look like Disney royalty. Most cozy games don’t have enough clothes for men player characters unfortunately. :( My actual clothes complain is there is nothing for kids/toddlers/babies, but I know I’m on the fringe preferring playing families with kids.

I often go on the gallery to find sims that look like normal people, or sims with distinctive (and not conventionally attractive) looks. Satch's first sim gives Tom of Finland vibes.

The only thing that I'm going to bothered about is that even when I make sims using basegame only items and then upload them to the gallery they're still tagged as being "modded" or having "CC" when I know for a fact they are not modded or have CC, it's infuriating that the game will tag them as modded, just because they were made while mods were installed/enabled in my game.

The problem with pale skin tones is they tend to have a lot of variation. Noses and cheeks are a little pinker etc. Darker skin tones will have darker shades around the eyes and black people especially will have lighter lips and on the souls of their feet and hands. So, if the EA wanted to further refresh the sims, they could add more skin details like that. Anyway, I always choose a skin tone that's close and make it a little brighter or darker. Pretty sure I only really use a handful but slightly tweak them for variety.

I don't date Sims Satch makes except his self-Sim. He's never been anything but an absolute sweetheart in my saves. Before you call me predatory, the only reason he's ever available is because Neighborhood Stories always seems to have Perfect Boyfriend break-up with him regardless of Satch being such a sweetheart, and then adopt like thirty-seven horses or whatever. When the pack is released, I will, however, match with these guys and then ghost them. That's how it's supposed to be done these days, right?

The pulling from your favorites kind of works that way. And since it only takes sims with the hashtag you can go through and favorite anyone under the hashtag you like and make your own dating pool for the app. Ag least that’s how it sounds, so if you only had one sim that interested you in the hashtag, favorite that sim and the dating pool outside of sims already in game is one. Of course I could be wrong, so I’m not trying this until I have the pack or at least have official confirmation on exactly how it works which would probably be a livestream or early access from people in the EA Creator’s Network.
