Same! I'm from eastern EU and now our winters are mild, because what is -10°C, but when I was a kid I remember it being more like -25°C and less and we couldn't open the door for 2 days because there was just too much snow, so when I see sims wearing only jumper for cold weather all I can think is 'my dude, you'll freeze your butt off', even though I myself am wearing thin cotton jumper and wool coat in the middle of the winter and I'm usually too hot 😂

Fellow Canadian here, I always do two cold weather outfits. One is full snowsuit and boots, the other is big sweaters and cozy wear, for being indoors in winter

Another Canadian here, and I usually give them snowsuits too. But since I personally wear a hoodie and a crocheted poncho or wool wrap most of the time, I have a few with alternate outfits from Batuu or the dress with a scarf from Realm of Magic. Everyone gets a hat and gloves though.

Yeah cause honestly if you don’t want to make sims like that don’t force yourself, I can tell when people try to force themself. If you’re more comfortable making sims that look like you, go ahead. Basically make the sims that you want, if they happen not to be diverse it’s you’re game not mine, but if you choose to make sims of all color and creed go ahead. Basically I don’t like when people try to force themselves to do things that they don’t want do with their own games

For example, I can't make pretty south Asian sims, so I just don't make them, if I would get randomly generated one and they would be pretty, they're for sure staying in my game, but if I'll try they'll be an eyesore and I think it's the opposite of what everyone would want. I just want nicely looking sims in my saves, that's all, and I'm control freak, so downloading from gallery would be too much of a hassle. That is funny to me too! I personally don't think you need to be 'woke' to show representation of different appearances, cultures, queerness or not, disabilities, stuff like that, other than yours, for me it's just being decent human being, but what do I know. And I'm not talking about Sims in this case, but general life, it's just being nice to other people around you, because we're all different and that makes us human, doesn't it?

I usually just hit the randomize button a few times to get their hair and eye colour, and if they get hearing aides randomly, I just add it to be the rest of the outfits. My favourite randomized sim has very dark skin, ice blue eyes, and I can’t even remember her hair colour, because she wears a hijab.

Locking love in the Sims 4 behind a pack is still soooo wild for me... like seasons and others stuffs. I mean, i can understand to have expansions for occults (people might not want them in their game) or for vacations area/new towns which are not that "basic" in everydays life. But LOVE ? SEASONS ? ANIMALS ? Or even active careers and restaurant/café ? No that's sooo wild... 💀

For men, if I want them to have skinny jeans I give them women's pants. It doesn't work for the tops because women's tops come with extra shading for the boobs, but, the pants work great. Like if a guy is into teensy hot shorts, etc. and skinny jeans of course. And cold weather I always remove it and just out on any jacket I like. A lot lf women look cold af in my area in the winter anyway so whatever. There's cute sweaters and jackets that can be a fashionable form of ha ha lets pretend it's a cold weather outfit.

i thought i was just so gay that i preferred making female sims bc i like girls but then i tried for ing myself to make male sims and they pretty much all look or at least dress the same bc male cas fucking suuuuucks, even w kits that are supposed to be cas, theres always so much more for female sims OR it just looks weird on the male sim, kinda like how most skirts look on female sims, just, off, its irritating, ALSO I HATE THAT YOU CANT CHOOSE LEFT OR RIGHT FOR PIERCINGS- OR MULTIPLE!

ok I know this might kinda suck as it's advice weeks too late, but for hot and cold weather you can enable seasons because the only players who will see those outfits will have seasons installed, if that makes sense. If you don't have seasons, you won't have hot or cold weather outfits at all.

Thank you for changing their orientations, I find the default so annoying, esp when I dl Sims from the gallery and the creator didn't bother to change any of those details (orientation & attractions, pronouns, gender details, etc.). Also truly wish the Sims team would just let us copy our face details and all accessories on into other outfits.

Put Shanice Shanice and Hot-Shanice Shanice on the gallery. The original is very datable for the correct Sim. The holidays items are not strictly base game, but free to get. 4:13 That outfit is the new one from the current connection reward event. You can uncheck the «Masculine» label to allow your male Sim to get hairs that are intended for female Sims. Some female hairs even look better on a male Sim than a female Sim. Then, you can give female Sims the male body hairs. One of the random family names : Plumbot🤣

I always find it fascinating how simmers struggle with making male sims. I make mostly male sims so I guess that’s why all of my male sims always end up looking good, and the CAS is extremely lacking in comparison to the feminine clothing, but it’s not like all my male sims wear the same outfits. Base game only makes it harder lol.

11:30 those are for padding to make your body look more hourglass shaped. Its what transwomen and dragqueens use to make their otherwise tube like bodies more curvy and feminine. As for why its under masculine, i guess it's because it's supposed to be used on those body types because those body types use them more often?
