It's fine. Just Einstein's equations result in infinite numbers at singularity and that's just something that we assume should not exist. However there are other theories like the quantum one which have no issue giving believable results even at singularity.
@mhc412411 ай бұрын
@@novh4ckcan you elaborate on this? I've been trying to understand how to think of real singularities.
@novh4ck11 ай бұрын
@@mhc4124 I am sorry but I am not an expert on this. What I know is that equations of general relativity very accurately describe and predict behaviour of the universe except the center of black holes or absolute start of the big bang. At those moments these equations return stuff like infinite density and mass which doesn't really make sense and breaks laws of physics as we know them. Methods of quantum field theory supposedly can somehow mathematically describe these singularities to make more sense but I unfortunately did not research it enough to be able to explain.

It’s said that infinity in mathematics simply translates to: “ our small ape like 3D minds can’t comprehend what is taking place within or between higher dimensions.”
@Mageblood8 ай бұрын
Nope, mathematicians are quite used to calculating in higher dimensions actually.
@laxrlynch12065 ай бұрын
@@MagebloodYep. In geometric topology for example it can be useful to expand to more dimensions because of more degrees of freedom it allows when trying to solve a math problem. I’m not 100% sure but I think the proof for one of the millennium prize problems was derived from looking at the problem from more than 3 dimensions.

Such a good explanation of what a singularity is. It’s not that we know it exists, it’s just that our mathematical understanding of the universe states that something goes wrong at that point of density. So either our equations are wrong or something about the universe changes in that single point. My personal favorite theory on this is the multiverse theory but that’s because I’m biased lol not because it’s the most true. The theory is that the fabric of space time is bent down to the point that it doesnt curve down infinitely but rather curves until it reaches the “singularity” that punctures thru parallel space time and basically creates a wormhole if the black hole is large enough or spinning fast enough I kinda forget. But if I peaked your interest or you think I’m wrong, go listen to Michio Kaku talk about it because I’m humble enough to admit that a theoretical physicist that studied his field for decades maybe knows a bit more than a college kid 😂

Gravity isn't infinite, density can't be infinite but it can be full (I.e not penetrable by matter or light). Becoming physically infinite is rare case, not even black holes). Maths doesn't have proper symbol or equation for non penetrable. Infinity could be misleading here.

Once gravity gets to a certain point it separates to an adjacent area of this dimension thats part of the spectrum of this dimension. A type of field is produced that makes what is inside the field invisible. From the inside the outside is visible but not the other way around. This separation creates a separate piece of space time and inertia can be created and felt inside the field but if you move the field and its contents the inertia from doing that is not felt inside the field. The field can slip around in the rest of space time without generating heat or even a sonic boom . The field can move differently thru some kinds or kind of space such as dark matter. Its not that its faster than light speed but that its different and the speed of light has nothing to do with it.
