@@AC-ze1nh that's what I was going to say. I'm positive that's what Mike said, that it was a cold support hearing. Looked it up, it was a hearing about child support as David wanted it reduced. David had lost all parental rights at this point. Dear bella: This is what happens when you marry someone before thoroughly checking out their background. This Matusiewicz family was obviously CRAZY long before Christine married into it. This type of profound mental illness doesn't just appear overnight, or when a divorce happens. These days you can do a complete online background search on ANYONE for as little as $30. Had Christine bothered to check out this family and seriously consider what she discovered, I doubt that she would've married into it. We live in an Anonymous Society where we only personally know a small fraction of all the people who we encounter each day. Years as a True Crime fan have sadly shown me that only a FOOL would let a stranger into their life either for romance or business before thoroughly investigating their background first. That may sound like paranoid thinking because it is, in fact, paranoid thinking. But being a little paranoid is a survival strategy in an Anonymous Society where strangers can enter your personal life at any time.

I just read an update about Christine's daighters. Her oldest daughter, Katherine, is a beautiful and smart young woman who has a daughter herself. She bravely took the stand at the family's sentencing hearing and told the court that Christine was a wonderful mom who never hurt or abused any of her girls. She also told the court that she believed the family would never stop trying to take her sisters, by any means necessary, and asked the court to put them away for life for their protection. The 3 little girls were put into foster care and she has not had any contact with them whatsoever since the day of the shooting when they were taken. She doesn't even have updates about them. She hopes that they will be reunited once the girls are older. Absolutely heartbreaking. Edits: punctuation errors.

This family is absolutely delusional. They dreamed up, reinforced and cemented these whackadoo ideas in each other's minds. Believe it or not, I've met people like this before. The reason they can cry so easily, passionately defend themselves and act as if they're fighting for justice, is because they repeat the lies so many times that they begin to believe them. Because they WANT to believe them. It's INSANE. Sometimes, the only way that you can begin to root out if there was ever even truth to any of the words that come from their mouths, is by trying to wade through it. How was there ever a custody trial when the father was found guilty of kidnapping the kids?
@CBrown863 жыл бұрын
Because the family court system is corrupt and does their best to hand children directly to their abuser
@IrisFlowerAndRainbow3 жыл бұрын
I was wondering about that also !!! How can you get custody after you kidnapped your kids and fled to another country with them.....doesn´t make any sense !!! Greetings from Iceland :)

If you have 1 million $ you can do it.

There must be formal proceeding to remove custody, even if one/both of the parent(s) are convicted of a crime. See: Mitchelle Blair in court for custody of her _surviving_ children, after she'd killed two of her older kids and kept their bodies in a deep freezer at the home.

I know hindsight is 20/20, but the mother and daughters should have been given new names and relocated, sort of like the witness protection program. The grandparents and biological father were never going to leave her alone.

It didn't make sense at all... And majority custody!! What were the authorities thinking about?? I don't know, this is terribly sad. Authorities surely knew this could go wrong after that diagnosis to the father. Now, who knows where and how the girls are. The traffic of children exists and many people are involved. I usually watch these episodes and several have left me sad and disturbed, but this one has touched me the most. Poor babies :( No mother, no father, just part of a system that surely can't protect them. I want to cry....

Such a sad ending with no winners. Considering how controlling and twisted this family is, I'm surprised there was no security at the courts. Christine was such a brave mother and fought to the end. May her soul rest in peace. I hope her children find a family that deserves to have them. One of the saddest cases I've seen.

Not uncommon behavior for a narcissistic mother, I have no doubt that the old bat manipulated him into doing that final act. I had one of those mothers too. Finally figured out the level of manipulation she was doing cost me every friendship elationship I ever had. Haven't talked to the witch for over 6 years now.
