It also ties nicely into their basic power: Premonitions makes you feel things/intuition/emotions. She also became later an empath. Magic ties mostly to that. Piper freezing or molecular combustions = potions/cooking. Prue telekinesis/astral projection = strong in strategy/thinking ahead.

Agreed , season 1 was great and each actress was so dynamic. I also loved this little back and forth between Andy and Phoebe. Phoebe was NOT not to let Andy intimidate her, get to her sister or stop their mission

Premonition is a powerful power which is used wisely is incredible. However, I only know truth about premonition cannot be summoned but with the grace of God to help when it is necessary. Only in one occasion I was devastated having the knowledge but not being able to help due to the limited information about the event. That to me - was not ideal and asked God not to provide that kind of experience if I could not help at all that event. God granted me the answer and never again provided me that experience again.

one thing so great about season 1 and 2 was the actual witchcraft. in the later seasons everything that was so taboo and one time use spells such as this was so easily done and people came back from the dead on the regular. Though one can argue that their magic grew stronger which made it easier i guess.

Yes... A whole conversation about cutting their finger a little bit. And in later seasons they just slice their palms open, no questions asked :D I really wish Piper never got her explosive power, it made vanquishing demons too easy.

100% agree. There’s something about Season 1 that I found truly magical. Like it had a sense of realism (if that makes sense). Using the tools such as alter/athame etc. later on they just said a quick rhyme and some of those even got ridiculous.

One of my favorite episodes. It made the sisters know who they are, where they came from and they received validation from their ancestor that they are important and loved. The way Melinda said "I love you" to them when she was released was truly authentic and genuine..

Huge season 3 and 4 spoiler even tho let’s be honest we’ve all seen it I love how Piper goes from I can’t stand the sight of blood to cutting her finger and trying to summon Prue in the beginning of season 4. I don’t know if it was intentional but these scenes are just linked in my mind and work so well together

Piper had the most reluctance to having to be a witch in the earlier seasons as the middle sister. So by the time Prue died, she became the oldest and had to really accept it. Prue's reluctance was off and on during the two seasons and completely disappeared in season 3. Phoebe had the least regret about being a witch, going so far as to say she didn't miss their old lives when Piper wanted to tap out after Cryo acquired their powers. Phoebe doesn't show any reluctance until the last couple of seasons.

Piper was so scared of cutting her finger here, only to lose that fear in Charmed Again P1 opening scene because of her desire to bring Prue back. You could just feel how desperate she must have been in wanting to bring her sister back.

Sorry- a bit late to the party here, but I thought that was such an impactful call-back as well! Like you said, her desperation was palpable to the point where she was numb to the pain and didn’t flinch and didn’t even realize she was still bleeding which is why Phoebe had to help bandage up her hand. The “Charmed Again” episodes, especially pt. 1, are so strong and HMC’s acting is incredible!

Like for crying out loud Piper Halliwell had a child with Leo Wyatt and names him Wyatt, Now for the slow folks children take on the surname of their father, regardless if his last name was/is Halliwell it technically is Wyatt.
