I'm a behavioral psychologist with a lot of background in semantics and communication sciences. The word 'situation' is very open-ended naturally. If someone says "We have a situation" it invites curiosity as to what that situation is. That's mainly because it deliberately gives no details. It infers that there are a lot of details. It works as clickbait without really being clickbait on YT because it says nothing but that there is something to say. 'Situation' is a way of saying there's a configuration of social circumstances surrounding whomever or whatever is being referenced also, so it can indirectly infer societal relevance outside of the issue and the involved persons themselves. Lately that's been very true.

As a future (self-proclaimed) psychiatrist, I believe humans are attracted to the word "situation", is due to the fact that our brains have changed to be more lenient towards controversies. Our brains want something to talk about for when we're talking to someone. Talking about such and such going on with this person most likely brings people closer in conversation since it will eventually lead to people talking about their own opinions. Since there is a common topic, everybody knows a bit about, it'll lead to better communication among people. Dude, the static situation is the most important situation out of all the situations you discussed. I HATE being shocked. To the point where it puts me into a blind rage. I hate it so much to the point where I have to literally quickly tap/slap something before actually touching it. Especially in the winter. If I'm going to a store or there's a metal handle in an office, I have to mentally prepare myself and then execute a pimp slap on the object I'm about to touch, before touching said metal object.

I got those whole house humidifier things too. Make sure you get the evaporative kind and not the mist ones. Also, if you can, installing one right into your furnace is much better and quieter. I have a lot of expensive guitars that I gotta keep at certain temps and humidity and I found the humidifier doesn’t have to run as much after I insulated my walls, doors, and windows as much as I could. Rubber seals and 3M film are cheap and effective for winter.

Okay here’s the sitch- 1. carry a penny in your pocket. Anything metal touch the penny to it first. 2. Use your knuckles, then your fingers. This is what I do-life experience in Iowa means this happens all the time from around September 1 through May 1, so if I’m going to get shocked (happens all the time at stores) so I touch things with my knuckle first then grab. Humidifiers will definitely help, much better for your immune system, as well. But make sure you fill them religiously, and unless you’re on well water, you don’t need special distilled water. A few pinches of salt work in tap water.
