The "workaholic" should be labeled the "one who has crappy roommates." That's the reason why they don't stay around their apartment. They want to avoid their apartment-bound roommate.

I found the section on "Weirdos" to be pretty ugly. It's nice that you gave some concessions at the end, but it still seemed pretty judgmental.

There is a 7th category that was left out: "Silent" or "Not Noticed". It could be that a very few BYU students will come from Iran or some other Islamic nation, that they were not raised in the Mormon culture, that they walk to BYU in a wheel chair, that about 15 BYU students are black Mormons (1/2 % of the student population), that about 11 BYU students are Native American Mormons (3/10 % of the student population), or some other ethnic minority that doesn't seem to exist at BYU, and that these students are not of the Caucasian race. White BYU students make up at least 82% of the student population at BYU. 97% of the faculty at BYU are white! Even though BYU is ranked # 95 by Forbes College Ranking, BYU is in the bottom 10 of least diverse of national universities in the nation! And these statistics are worse at BYU-Idaho! White BYU students don't talk to these extremely few unique BYU students or care to socialize with them. Do you see them? An extremely few of them are there, representing less than 1% of the BYU student population. They are not part of the category "Weirdo", a type of student that I had never met at BYU. And "Weirdo" is a discrimination category! It doesn't exist! Therefore, there does exist a 7th category: "Silent" or "Not Noticed". Question: Why is it that only white BYU-Idaho students are shown in this video?

That comment was really unnecessary
@HarrisonLapahie2 жыл бұрын
@@claraaa0224 The comment is true, and was needed. The world needs to know how BYU really is. BYU is not ethnically & racially diverse. Non-white minorities are under-represented at BYU. It has been like that for decades! Maybe since its beginning. To be successful at BYU, a non-white minority student needs to transform themselves as 'white', in order to be successful. Look at the graduation rates of non-white minorities there. Asians seem to be okay though, but is low compared to other prestigious universities. Compare that to other prestigious schools. Graduation rates of non-minorities tend to be in the 90% plus percentile at those prestigious universities. In a way, BYU is somewhat of a prestigious university but doesn't have a good mixture of colored races. I had experienced that. Native Americans had experienced that, a friend in a wheel chair (a Native American) had experienced that. When I went to BYU in the early 1970s, there were no Black Americans, or Hispanic Americans going to BYU. The only Blacks were students from Nigeria. The only Hispanics came from Mexico, Central America, and South America. Most Native Americans and the guy in the wheel chair were kicked out of BYU, after 1 year. I saw them crying. BYU needs to have a good program concerning non-White BYU students in order for them to be successful there. Other universities have that, but not BYU. I could go deeper into this, but I don't have the time.

Well, so far, I'm at least three of the six (although I secretly hope to be four). I can't bring myself to be a spouse-hunter, and since this video was posted over six years ago, I guess I can't be your friend on campus either. But to everyone else who's on campus this coming Winter 2020 semester, come roller-skate and maybe I can be _your_ friend! (Not your spouse, but your friend.)
