Welcome back to some more SOVL: Fantasy Warfare, This time I take the Skaven for a run and see just how powerful they can become. I also make one of the strongest units of rats possible with 24 attacks, rerolls, and crazy damage.

I like one go a bit more, can just jump right in exactly where i left off if i need to divide my watch and youtube will remember where I stopped anyway. Not a really strong opinion tho, there wont be much dying on either side of this hill I think.

Just a tip: you can pass turn if your opponent has more units left to move than you do. If they only have melee units left it can be beneficial to read their charges before committing a unit to their attacks/movement.

I think keeping your units full is more useful than a bit more gold. Casualties can also snowball where you suffer more losses because your units are at half strength and deal less damage to your opponent leading to longer and bloodier battles.

Definitely, I would much rather have a smaller number of fully replenished units than a load of them at a third of their strength, which is what happens if you focus purely on getting gold and don't bother replenishing at all. Especially for armies that rely more on ranged units it makes a huge difference having full troop count for your units

Just had a dwarven run, he had 2s to hit, 2s to save, rerolled 1's to hit, rerolled failed saves, and rerolled successful enemy saves, Ranger Captain was basically a one man army, over 200 kills between hero and his retune. Backed up with two Ballista and two Cannons, each with like +2 hits and reroll 1's.

Yeah so far for me dwarves feel like my favorite. The deep guard with muskets are just absolutely absurd

@@jasonmain6398 Imperial mortars are just flat out evil right next to inferno cannons with imperial light cav being just brutal.

​@@dragonace119Had an Elf run get stopped cold in the final battle by an army with two mortars and a catapult backed by tons of knights. Got absolutely eviscerated, those things are oppressive.

@@williamwerner1535 Thats terrifying. As the Dwarves on the battle before the final boss I faced a skaven army with 3 warpfire weapon teams and 2 long rifles, I got extremely lucky that most of my guys had guns that hit like a truck.

Just some advice. The hero unit if it is embedded in its retinue and has a ranged attack is able to shoot after the retinue unit.

Tried this after your suggestion and loved it. Do you generally avoid encounters? I've had luck buying units, especially late game when they are too expensive to buy at shops.

I just think battles are better as you get way more cash to buy upgrades

Maybe between the last shop and final boss it could be a boost. Last minute unit or enchantment/skill

@@austineisinger8927that’s what I’ve found, an encounter before the last battle and after any shops is usually awesome, I’ll often get the mercenary that I can hire for 15% of gold income… so basically a free unit at the end of the game.

You want to maximise the amounts of units you get early because they scale crazy with XP. Later on i find it better to use gold on upgrades.​@@austineisinger8927

Please don't cut off part of videos. If you think it's boring to see your moves you probably can speed trough those parts, but when you cut it's just disorienting what went where

I’m really enjoying playing this game and watching the videos. Please go back to doing runs over two videos- it’s a bit disjointed and annoying to watch at this speed.

I can't be sure, cause you cut a lot of the combat, but if you cast a spell with your commander, you still can shoot with his retinue And plz, stop cutting the combat, play the video on fast but no cuts plz
