Aw jeeze I'll tell you as well, I'm delighted as well, but do you know the win isn't just for me it's for the trainer and the boys in the yard because it's a very hard course, knowing its bad after a quarter of a lap. You know when he jumped the last I thought 'there's no way this fella is going to make it' but I gave him a slap with the reign during the whole way home and I'll tell you when he goes to 8th off the south end you're doing very very well. I tell you I'm absolutely delighted. Not 100% but close enough. Source: Irish; and this actually makes Lee Mack's impression here even better because it wasn't just random Irish sounding noises he clearly practiced speaking the words quickly in that dialect, he's brilliant.

Impressive! I'm sad enough to have played it at half speed and you're about right apart from at the end. He says: 'I'll tell you what when he goes to Aintree on the soft ground he'll do very very well...' Like you say, it's genius that he was genuinely speaking words and not gobbledygook.

What kinda irish accent is this? I've worked with people from Dublin and they all sounded like Chris O'Dowd in IT Crowd. I've also heard Irishmen talking to each other in what i thought was really bad accent but it later turned out they were speaking Gaelic the whole time.

To be fair.i did get it first time round.I’m Irish and I love this sketch.Lee Mack actually comes from an Irish background.his grandfather was from Mayo I believe.absolutely great sketch.especially when he said ‘I thought this fella will never make it up the hill ‘ priceless 😂😂😂
