The Skiathos Kittens: Part 3 - includes September 2021 update

This is the final part of a documentary series I made about the Skiathos Cat Welfare Association team as they rescue stray kittens in need on the small Greek holiday Island of Skiathos. This was made in July 2018, there is an update at the end of the video.
It was whilst making these films that I fell in love with Harriet and Jimmy the Greek.

Your video struck a nerve w me, made me cry in a few spots, I mean this in a good way, as a cat lover w 9 nine cats my self I get it, we want to care for all of them but can't. I've had to pick up a cat that was hit by a car, buried him on my property, and I've taken in many that were abandoned by my place. I live in a very rural area, and at times a kitten or an abandoned adult will show up asking for my help. They've been the best friends over the years. They don't judge us, are there on bad days and the good. What you do sir, is amazing. Bless you.

I wondered if you'd filmed an update on your latest trip, it was lovely to see how some of the cats were getting on. I'm pleased to hear Severus has someone local looking out for her, that must give you some peace of mind when you're away from the island. Thank you for all that you do for these cats!

Hi Stephanie, I've filmed so many updates since the original series but just used them on social media rather than a dedicated edit as I am waiting for the charity to finally get their land so the last film has the right ending. Re-uploading this here at least gave me a chance to put in a short update for people. Heartbreaking about Arnie and Simba though but at least it looks like Jimmy's brothers will all have homes before long. It was also really sad to have Moo still being on the streets for people who don't follow my social media as she was taken off them a month after filming. She was the one I was worried about the most and that is she is safe, happy and loved beyond words brings me such joy :)

I wish I could take one more, but I’ve been taking just more more too many times (I’m 60 and disabled) I have 8 beautiful house cats that live in a 1300 sq ft home with me. I’m dreaming of a Catio ; any size. Maybe someday. My kitties also have 2 canine siblings as well🥰

I’m so glad that Moo has been able to join Sarah in England and some of the other kitties found homes too. I hope that Marley’s foster is able help him get as wonderful a home as his brother Timmy has. It’s also good to know that MISS Severus is well cared for by a lady on the island. She’s a very special girl. My heart goes out to Arnie and Simba’s families. They were such sweet boys. I’m glad that they knew love and family before they crossed the bridge. Much love to your crew as well. I trust that Percy and Bertie are being good big brothers to Harriet, Jimmy and Lollipop.

Do you not have to worry about any of the cats being HIV+ or having feline leukemia? I always keep rescues separated until tested. I do TNR in Brooklyn the past 12 years.
