Cheap to make, this harness automatically incentivizes the user to get a helmet to mount the PVS14 on. It’s impossible to get this adjusted perfectly to get precise eye alignment so you get the best picture from your night vision. But it’s a step towards hands free operation.

The velcro is for a pad. There is 3 sizes, Small, Medium, and Large. It helps hold it better to your head.

@@MaxHeadspace9mm I just got mine today actually. I need to see how it works with a boonie hat and my comtac IIIs. Due to having comtacs I'm hesitant to get a helmet.. need more money and would like to get some opscore amps for when I have a helmet.

@@PBerBlueCobra I hear ya. Just got my ops core and I love it but now I need coms and a counter weight/battery pack and a helmet cover and an IR light and a beacon, etc, etc plus my Wilcox mount and J arm. 🙄

@@MaxHeadspace9mm yeah it gets spendy really quick. I have a baofeng uv-5re and a Disco 32 PTT and it is pretty good. You can get an Ebay one and re solder it to work with military headset. I need to make a video on how to do that.

It certainly does! I used mine one time. Now I’m outfitting my helmet and the difference is staggering! I enjoy going dark!

Not sure if you got a helmet yet but you can get airsoft replica gear including the mount that’s super cheap and you can use your nvg on.

Thanks for the tip. I have gotten my helmet and a cover as well as a counterweight/battery pack but I’m still looking around for the mount and I.R. Lighting.

Ops core or team Wendy. Ballistic or the bump helmet should suffice whichever you want

The Ops core level three high cut looks really good to me so far. I have no personal experience with the Team Wendy though I know that helmet gets really high marks.

That’s a great idea for a video. My challenge is that there is a gun shop in my local area that sells a really nice helmet for these at a reasonable price and it’s the only one I’ve had close contact with. It looks perfect but I would like something to compare it to. It gets great reviews so I may just do the easy thing and get it if no further info comes in.

@@MaxHeadspace9mm Yeah I wish I could throw out some ideas for you. I missed an opportunity from Fed Arm who used to sell a military style helmet and was going to send it to me for review. But I was backed up at the time and just had no plans of something as expensive as night vision. I wouldn't even know where to begin to recommend. Maybe you just got lucky with your local.
