Just got one myself. I expected just an ordinary cardboard case but was surprised at how high quality the case actually is. And I like that FF4-6 got the most artwork, since that era of the series is my favorite.

I love both Nomura's artwork (particularly for the Kingdom Hearts franchise), and Amano's artwork, but Amano's artwork is so unique and beautiful that you can't find much better.

Wow i really wish i could get it at that price, even the regular price not amazon's, but where i live i can't. I looked it up in a site similar to ebay here and it's around 140 bucks. Anyway thanks for showing it to us Pete, i saw a similar unboxing of the original and yeah that one was packed but the 3 artbooks are the best thing and for that price it's totally worth it.

I'd like to get this set, but I can't afford it right now, sadly. I'm fortunate enough to own something that has an original Amano sketch and signature on it, however. I love his style, and with the power of today's graphics, I wish we could get a Final Fantasy game that replicated his aesthetic sensibilities rather than the stylized realism look they've gone with for the series.

Uhhhhh I am going to splurge and get this. I bought the 25th anniversary books to avoid this, but this just has the pure art and they are larger pictures. The descriptions/detail of the 25th anniversary is awesome, but I am an Amano art lover so just having his art is a plus. Nomura's art is also awesome :)! BTW Pete, buy the other books. I own fairies, the tale of genji, and world's of Amano and they are stunning. Prepare for a bit of nudity, but it is done is a classy way.

I think FFIX was the last real final fantasy after that is just ... something else. FFV was very fantastic but if you played that game after it s time well I guess you can be disappointed, but in 1992 it was fantastic.
