The game of Basketball has been my passion since I was 5 years old. I grew up as a kid watching my dad's recorded VHS tapes of playoff games through the 70s and 80s, and collected all the Basketball cards. Something about the game and what it represents just hooked me from a very young age.
My love for the game only continues to grow as time goes on. I love studying and analyzing the game, with an unbiased perspective. Feel free to subscribe, follow me on social media, and celebrate this amazing game and it's rich history with me!
I post videos every week on NBA history, predictions, hypothetical scenarios and current NBA topics.

After injuries progressively got worse, dude retired for the first time AT 26!! Even guys like TMac and Grant Hill had more time to thrive than that! We were no where close to seeing this man’s full potential. How good to you think Roy could have been?? By the way, I'm currently writing the script for the Ultimate Trail Blazers Video, so stay tuned.

Hell, what if both he and Oden stayed healthy. Would've been a great duo. There was something to roy shot that just made it look perfect. Especially on game winners. Almost seemed like you knew it was gonna go in. I'll never forget watching that rockets game live. He had the clutch gene for sure.

The group of Brandon Roy, Greg Oden and LaMarcus Aldridge went 50-24 in the games they played together (good for the 5th best record in the NBA today). No telling what they could have done together if they stayed healthy.

The trailblazers have to be one of the most cursed franchises. Bill Walton always getting hurt (even though they won one title), Brandon Roy, Greg Oden (and not drafting KD), and having Lillard on their team for a decade and still not accomplishing anything

IIRC Kobe said that BRoy was the hardest guy to guard in the league, with a complete offensive package but also added that his defense was... suspect... Roy was my favourite player not named Kobe at that time. I so wished he would come back from his injury.

He was an awesome NBA player. My uncle went to school with him at the university of Washington and he was a dominating player both in college and the pros as well. And I think that is brutal that he had a career ending injury and I don’t like the blazers at all but loved Brandon Roy as well. Hopefully when the Seattle Supersonics come back and come back to the NBA. Hopefully Brandon Roy does become the new HC of the new Sonics when they come back.

I live in Seattle and met Brandon Roy when he came into my store a couple of times. I didn't let on that I knew who he was and he was very nice. I'm glad he stayed local and is coaching at Garfield High School (where Jimi Hendrix went). The bright side is at least he made it, even if it was short lived. Most of us never even get that far, so overall I would say his career was a triumph.

Dear Jonny, As a long time Blazer and Cleveland fan, you have no idea how much this video means to me. I am typing this before even having watched the video out of sheer excitement of seeing the thumbnail and title. Between those two franchises, we have had some sad draft, trade, and bust stories, but perhaps none as tragic as B-Roy. He is our Derrick Rose. Aside from AI, I truly feel that B-Roy was the only guard that could truly keep kobe up at nights during his late prime. He was clutch, talented, athletic, smart, and and all around great guy and pulled us out of the jail blazer era and gave the Portland area some hope during the 08 recession. He truly is my favorite blazer amongst a catalogue of greats.

as one of the biggest fans of the late 2000s blazers...I can confidently say, had Roy and Oden stayed healthy and reached their full potential; Blazers, with Roy leading the way, would have won at least a couple titles. And along the way, Roy would have shown just how clutch he truly was...making bigger and bigger shots in the biggest moments of the biggest games. Would Roy be considered the GOAT? Eh, tbh, probably not. But, I do believe he would prove himself to be one of the greatest clutch players of all time, and find himself in that discussion being compared to only Jordan.

He was an amazing talent. I think that being said he would have ended up being similar to Dame. The reemergence of Kobe's Laker's were coming. The Miami Big 3 were around the corner. And the GSWs were coming up along with a talented young OKC Thunder team with Durant, Westbrook, Harden. So I think he would have been a star struggling with getting talent to help him compete.

So you basically had a 48 inch vertical, because that's what is required to get the elbow over a 10 foot rim. I'm your height and I can only put my hand above the rim, I can't dunk. Nate Robinson is that height and had a 44 inch vertical just for reference. Must have been an amazing feeling.

True story: I came on your channel to pitch you an video idea about how the phrase "the sky as the limit" is overused and false... I think I'm going to pitch it to jimmyhighroller instead lol. Fun fact aside, when a genius like wemby or luka comes to the league with early dominance, we keep hearing "imagine him in his prime", or "in 3 to 5 years" without taking into account that basket ball is a finite game, with phisical thresholds that can't be broken. In that regard I think I once heard of a study that proved that 95% at the FT line was not humanly possible for example. Well it bugs me that the progress curve is assumed to be the same for everyone... we need a statistical analysis over this... ok, I'm definitely pitching this to Jimmy😅

At some point with all the injuries, you have to start questioning the Blazers medical staff and trainers. To this day, Portland has yet to play with a healthy roster. They have been cursed with injuries since Bill Walton. I mean yeah it was nice Walton got Portland a title, but if injuries didn't derail his career, he could have been up there among the greats with Kareem.

Kawhi Grant Hill Bill Walton Derrick Rose Kemba Walker* Isaiah Thomas* Boogie Cousins* *ruined by injuries but perhaps weren't gonna be an alltime great. Kawhi is the biggest what if in history, that man is the only player where his prime has been riddled with injuries. Everytime he plays, there's hope for a championship, there's light at the end of the tunnel only for a blockade to come out of nowhere with injuries upon injuries. He'd probably have 4 rings by now if not for injuries. He knows his legs cant take it so he thinks superstars will step up but the likes of PG, Harden, Westbrook are known for the being the worst playoffs performers with 14+ games shooting below 35% which is the most amongst active players and they are all in the top 3 and Lowry is the 4th who Kawhi also played with.
