i dont know what you call fast but a truck thats running 11s isnt that impressive anymore. not when you have trucks that are running 9s

@Kamikazekyle056 жыл бұрын
Jesse Burger he got all the way into the low 10’s with that truck. This guy is the pioneer of the turbo 6.0. Plus the ls aftermarket wasn’t anywhere close to what it is now.
@nataliakruschev50786 жыл бұрын
Kamikazekyle05 Big facts. The LS aftermarket selection back then was nowhere near as detailed or proliferated as it is now. Nowadays, even a novice mechanic can LS swap into a Miata. Back then? Good luck doing it without a bunch of welding expertise, custom fab work, but now? You can follow guides on the internet, order Flyin' Miata and V8 Roadster kits. Good luck squeezing 800 horsepower out of an LS back then without resorting to the spray and super expensive (for the time) setups, and have even better luck not blowing up your motor from the tiniest of mistakes. Now? You can squeeze 800 out of an LS so easy, GM basically gives you an engine that all you need to do is slap some heads, aftermarket head gaskets, cams, and have some bigger injectors along with a turbo or supercharger and it's done.

had no idea the relationship with you and parrish i remember him totally back in the day and was always blown away that this one truck was beating up on all these modern sports and muscle cars. Then i wondered what happened to him for he disappeared thinking the horsepower wars came on and running 10's (which was the last i saw) was almost stock for many sports and exotics but your end of the video clarified it all. Great video.. thank you... isnt it crazy how time flies? i think of 2005 and think, " hey, that isnt that long ago " yet it was 15 years ago. Crazy....

Antjuan Tomlinson I know I put alot into that truck, cam, ported polished stock heads, rebuilt trans with burg Warner clutches and bm shift hit, 4.10 gears, headers and it barely did 13.70's. but it was better then when my dad and I bought it. It ran consistent 17's lol

Same here. Ran a 13.74@98 circa 2005 in my '03 swb 5.3L with full bolt-ons: CAI, e-fans, UD pulley, LTs, catless dual Borla exhaust w/cutouts, custom hptune, 4.10s w/ Eaton LSD, tires, weight reduction, "shorty belt" mod lol. 13 years later: 5.0 F150s are running low 13s stock, and high 12s with a tune... dammit! lol
