The easy35 35mm Slide Holder replaces the standard holder for the easy35, allowing you to scan 50x50mm standard mounted 35mm slides. Replacing the holder is as simple as loosening the holder fastening screw on the easy35, then sliding out the standard 35mm holder and sliding in the easy35 Slide Holder.
The easy35 Slide Holder has two internal custom-made leaf springs pressing the slide downwards. Scanning slides is therefore as easy inserting one slide, capturing it, then pushing the first out with the second slide as you insert it.
The easy35 Slide Holder is compatible with most standard mounted 35mm slides on the market - however, we cannot guarantee that it will work with all mounts ever made as there is an extremely wide range. Particularly damaged or fragile cardboard slides can jam or be damaged in the holder.
Mounted slides made from plastic and between 1.5mm and 4mm thick will suit the device very well, and slides made from strong card are usually not a problem.

Would love to buy this but shipping to the UK from Kanera store is £22, which is is more than 50% the cost of the holder and a redidulous amount for somethingbso small. Do you have any cheaper delivery options for UK customers?

Hi! Sadly no. We sadly can not do much to the shipping costs at the moment. After the demand for the Slide Holder "normalises", we definitely will provide it to our retailers in the UK.

Just got my slide holder yesterday. Tried moving slides similar to ones you are demonstrating with and it was really difficult to move them past the metal rails inside and when in position there was a vertical warp in them. Any ides for overcoming?

What kind of slides are you scanning? Material type and thickness would good to know. As the product description says, the slide holder might not work perfectly with certain cardboard slides or with extremely thick slides. Feel free to get in touch us on email at [e-mail] :)

what lens do you have on that camera ? I am turned off that you did not actually take a picture and showed us the file, sharpness, color rendering, edge focus etc are all needed to be demonstrated ...

Cool! Thank you for your order! :) We are working on material for processing colour slides, but it's not ready for publication yet - we want to make sure we give the best information possible, and scanning slides has not been a main focus of our products until now.

Hi! I am concerned that it will not work with my slides that are mounted in a standard glass protected frame as they are significantly thicker than the glassless paper frames.

Hi! All glass frames we have seen have still been less than the 4mm limit of the product. Have you seen thicker ones?

No, the duster is for removing dust on strips and rolls only

I’d love to get this Valoi converter but, I can’t decide on getting either the Laowa 65mm APO Macro or the 7 Artizans Macro , for Fuji X mount. I’m looking for the best quality lens for my XT5 to do copy work of negatives and slides. Which lens would you recommend? Thank you.

Both are good lenses. We have tested the 7Artisans 60mm f/2.8 version 2 and it falls into the upper parts of category 2 (category 1 being our best classification), meaning only extreme scrutiny will put it apart from category 1 lenses. The Laowa 65mm APO Macro we haven't tested, but we have tested its larger cousin, the 85mm for full frame, which is an excellent lens. My assumption would be that the Laowa 65mm is a small notch about, then it's up to you to decide if it's worth twice the price.

​@@alfabravo80 At the moment we don't have a published list, partly because it's not complete (doesn't contain all the relevant lenses) which could lead someone to believe a great lens is not even good enough to test, and partly because the information is hard to digest. For the Fujifilm X system your options for Category 1 lenses are: Adapting a good clean copy of the Nikon Nikkor 55m f/2.8 (with an extension tube if you want to scan 35mm) or using a bellows/helicoid with an APO-Rodagon 75mm f/4 1x. The Laowa 65mm is untested but we assume it will perform in category 1.
