Fun fact: Minecraft's horses were implemented with help from the creators of the Mo's Creatures mod (which, among other things, added horses to the game before 1.6) I don't really know why Mojang didn't see this as a huge success and work with more mod makers to add features. Imagine vanilla having the rarity-graded weapons and tools that you find in loot chests with Apotheosis, or Agricraft crop breeding to get more efficient crops.

they are slowing down updates cause too many updates can lead to too confusing gameplay. I installed a modpack once to see how Minecraft with mods are, and i got confused, bored, and puzzled. Therefore i went to play casual Minecraft instead and I played it for 3 hours non stop. so in conclusion, Mojang (Microsoft) Have a good plan. since updates aren't necessary with the help of moders that change the game. and, its optional too! What I've noticed is that minecraft only adds the updates that are necessary that have also not been created by modders.

I just want the community to understand Mojang they are not lazy. Respect those people. We are not games developers we not know how hard is it. In the end they will give us what we want they understand the community.

I agree that Mojang are not lazy per se, but they do seem slightly out of touch with the community. The absolute state of the fan base throughout the last mob vote could have been predicted and avoided. Hopefully they have some tricks up their sleeves to get everybody back on side when it comes to the next update.

It’s weird to me why terraria devs can add tons of content to the game that doesn’t change the core experience, but minecraft can’t. I actually think they are adding too much to minecraft

That’s a fair shout. Terraria has a lot more content, and still isn’t *too* confusing. I suppose Terraria drifts away from its similarities with Minecraft in this aspect? I’m not sure tbf I don’t really play Terraria so I’m probably not qualified to comment 😅😂

I think that mincraft still has a lot of updates he can have, like an end or inventory update, and you can't say that they don't know what people want because they just need to do a small search and the community has a lot of ideas

An end update is possibly the last major “overhaul” they can make, I don’t think they could base en entire update over reforming the inventory, but if any company will do it, it’s Mojang. 😅

I don't want bigger Updates. But when I look back to 1.16, I just want what we had back then. It's not like the community just wants more and more but the updates are really just getting more irrelevant. They could still make a great update with just a few features. 1.16 was, of course also loved because of the absurd AMOUNT of stuff that was added, but also because it changed the Nether in it's entirety. 1.13 changed the entire ocean with just a few additions and also made building way more fun by adding more walls, stairs and slabs. 1.14 ... does anyone even remember how villagers worked back then? ... cuz I don't. The only thing I can tell you is that it's way more fun to trade now XD 1.18 changed the entire world generation. Even if Caves and Cliffs was splitted into basically 4 parts (Part 5 with the bundles is still on it's way), it's still one of the most influential updates to this day. Hack, even 1.15 is worth remembering, because it doubled my FPS. But if I look at 1.21... there could be 5 times more blocks, mobs and new features in the trial chambers ... but in the end, it's just the trial chambers. it's just one dungeon. a pretty content filled dungeon, but one lonely structure doesn't really impact the game. now if they'd added a new copper rich cavebiome, that would 100% spawn together with the trial chambers... then players would find the structure more easily, making all this new content more accessible. They could have changed some crafting recipes like powerd rails using copper instead of gold or the crafter using copper instead of iron. this way, our shiny new metal could gain some more use... which is exactly what it needs right now ... USE. The update isn't THAT small but until you find the Trial Chambers, it basically just added a few new copper and tuff blocks ... and that's about it.

I see what you mean - the updates don't need to be bigger in themselves, they just sort of need to feel bigger, so it's almost like it's the implementation of the update that makes all of the difference. I like your idea about a copper rich cave biome, but the problem is Mojang haven't really given us enough to do with the copper, as you said. Everything still very much revolves around iron, gold, redstone and diamond. Mojang could definitely have done something better to implement the update, as trial chambers are actually pretty cool.

Don't forget about crafters and copper bulbs. The tuff blockset and expanded copper seems to be a very big deal to builders, it's quite a lot of blocks.

I think Microsoft is just getting greedy. Maybe it costs money to add all 3 mobs, but mojang doesn't have enough money bc mirocrsoft's greed. It also explains why mods are practically being banned.

As a causal player, the updates really havent been that bad. I honestly don't care if they make either a new dimension or add a slug. Heck I only discovered my first armour trim a few days ago and they were added over a year ago. The updates haven't been declining, players have just been getting more greedy. Although I will agree that the mob votes are crap.

Disagree, the game doesn’t always have to make a big difference every update and the last one (while most features being locked to the trial chambers) were very good and the trial chambers aren’t too hard to find. I do think Mojang hasn’t had as huge of updates as say the Nether Update but I do think they will do an End Update soon. And also the Aquatic Update was similar in volume to the Tricky Trials updates. It didn’t add a huge amount to the game, new ocean biomes, a couple of small structures, and a new weapon and the Aquatic Update is already outdated so I feel Mojang is more worried to make bigger updates because the update might not make a huge impact in the future.

I agree in the sense that all updates don’t need to be huge because I think that a small update can have a large impact if implemented correctly. However, using the example of the trial chambers, I don’t think that they implemented this very well. I read a previous comment of someone’s where they suggested that a new biome could’ve been added, where lots of copper could spawn as well as the trial chambers, making it easier to find and giving more use to the relatively new ore. I think that this would definitely have helped, as in my opinion the same trial chambers are quite awkward to find. With what you said about the major updates they could make, I can’t see an inventory update coming in the future any time soon, so an end overhaul feels like it could be the last major update they make, or even can make. Knowing Mojang, they’ll find a way though! Thanks for letting me know your thoughts!

Updates don't feel as big because the game of how big the game has gotten. With every update, the game gets bigger so logically an individual update feels smaller. The bigger the game gets, the more work and bugfixing they have to do with existing features when changing the game. 1.21 is as good as 1.13 or 1.14 imo, infact it's probably better than those two from a polish standpoint. 1.13 killed performance and introduced tons of problems(no wonder servers couldn't update) while 1.14 killed game balance. 1.21 improved performance and added (mostly) high quality well made features, not to mention that it completely reworked datapacks. The reason player count went up in earlier years wasn't because of how big the updates were. It was a combination of a lot of factors, mainly everyone forced to be at home

That’s true - the previous successes were a combination of factors and 1.13 was both a huge and problematic update. I’d argue, however, that 1.21, while being undeniably more stable, isn’t as rich in content that the game *needs*. Comparing the game today and then, it was quite basic when these influential updates were released, and that’s exactly why they were so influential. Sometimes the performance or game balance needs to be shaken in order to help the developers learn how to perfect the game.

Why didn't you go further about the BS account migration policy stuff? 1:38 Instantly made me quit playing multiplayer as I didn't ask for being censored. I shouldn't get banned from multiplayer for saying swear words.... It's why I use vintage story for that experience. 2:13 We don't want another phantom or how all passive mobs can't be killed for the loot. 2:31 No sh** with the account migration. Why do I need a Microsoft account when I was perfectly content with a Mojang account for years. I don't want to be like the Bedrock players where you can't do whatever you want in a realm's server. The censorship wasn't asked for or called for... To me the idea I can get banned from all servers because of my actions or getting gaslit on another server is fundamentally Orwellian. Anything Microsoft touches goes to sh**. Mark my words, the banning of mods is dumb for a game that embraces creativity. Why does it matter people say messed up things in another server, modded or not? The updates from my personal opinion when playing single player. Too much dumb filler content that doesn't benefit exploration or mining. The minecarts should get a serious buff, I loathe how rare Iron is when playing, it makes progressing so much slower and less fun compared to me plopping down on my vita to play Minecraft. Too much updates, I play Java, Bedrock, and Last Gen. I wished I could simply disable andesite, or alt-rock types. I would love for a new pickaxe that simply doesn't drop those alt-rock ores. I think a copper pickaxe would have its use.

Honestly man I could make a whole other video about the account migration nonsense!! On the topic of adding chat reporting, I’m really not sure what to think. On one hand, it’s good because it should lead to an overall more positive experience in multiplayer, but on the other… 1. Does it really work as intended and 2. Why should players have their free speech restricted? I’m all for trying to keep chats in multiplayer servers more respectful, as the game is aimed at a younger audience, but should it not be down to the server owner to determine what they want with their own server? I also actually quite like your idea about a cooper pickaxe where you could sort of filter what it picks up- that’s a really cool use for the ore and would be really helpful. Mojang should keep their ears out!

@@ducklops To me, I do not see how reports would make a better experience, as it takes away the product side of Minecraft and makes it more of a service. For example, you use clients on Anarchy servers for 1 or 2 servers, should you get banned from all servers despite not using any of the cheats on moderated servers? I want more power for the hosts of servers, as that's how it has been since Minecraft's launch. #2 I believe there should be access to vulgar chats as a quarantine zone. Who wants roaches going to everyone, instead of having them in one location and be their own niche? If they are not harming other servers, who cares what they say or do? That's why I love 2b2t, it gives toxic players a multiplayer experience and reason to pay for minecraft and more purchases for minecraft. I will say not all servers are innocent hosts though. The P2Win servers I do believe should only be targeted for trying to monetize instead of keeping the game as a fixed Also I would technically be breaking the hacked client rules to play bedrock on Linux. So that's even more reason for me to sort of hate the change. Minecraft I remember as something greater during the 2010's as it had no filters and the Java userbase aren't the same at all as Bedrock. It was a case of " A game for everyone ", if younger people play it, it was restricted to certain sections. The game itself wasn't really for kids at the time. As you would get swearing and to me that's something I like a bit. As it puts a filter who can and can not be in the game... People should have freedom of association, but by adding the reporting feature... It kills the lively chat experience that the early 2010's had. Where it was silly trash talking, maybe told to kill x player, but the report doesn't take context or other languages in-context at all.

@@ducklops A lot of my disagreement with the report comes from Microsoft's lack of security one part. 1. Their operating systems are the most hackable and get a lot of viruses 2. Their services get breached often AKA 3 months ago they got info breached. Is this the company you would want to have a list of 3. Multiple languages in one server situation? Like if there is a German writing "The ", that word happens to be a false-friend of English Die? Skit = Sh** in Swedish? Do you see how that could be bad in the context of whispering to players? Or badly done expressions that make no sense like auto-translating "sju" which can also mean crap, but vulgar due to similar sound to Skit. These situations happen more than you would think if don't play on American servers due to not being Middle-Western. 4. To me chats are the mood of a server, if it's competitive, I want to see some rage, just give me the ability to mute a very nasty player or use that as an opportunity or leave that to the moderators. The rules should be set by the host first and foremost as it is a waste of time and resources to have a machine or human delievering bans. 5. Remember Windows Live? Or most services Microsoft used to have and how bad they were? I don't want that to happen to Minecraft. It is a Fortnite situation... Fortnite is successful despite Epic Games, not because of Epic Games. As how many people know about Final Fantasy, it is just obscuring their game or limiting their userbase. I don't like the Fifth Column ( The Fifth Cowards ), but it gives them more reason to attack servers that support cracked players, also the cracked players got an advantage over real paid players that have accounts with Microsoft and Mojang as it means servers have incentives to not be tied with either company to keep a bigger userbase. I paid for the game, should I do what I want as long as I follow one server's rules on a case by case basis? I am sometimes worried as I use linux via the Steam Deck to play bedrock for the form-factor.

Minecraft updates aren’t necessarily bad- that’s not the message I was trying to convey in the video. I wanted to show the huge successes and impacts of the older updates (1.16 etc.) and compare it to the newer updates, receiving less and less attention, and in my opinion falling in quality.
