I bought and held an Ethereum ETF and held it for a very long time (it was really a trust run by Grayscale, ETHE). My current ROI is about 29%; I think now is the time to sell and take profits. When to sell when you are up is a personal decision. I'm not as dour on the long term prospects of Ethereum as Joe. Are not most NFTs still built on top of the Ethereum blockchain and isn't there some long term stability and utility in this? I may have missed it, but I don't think Joe even mentioned NFTs. The short term prospects for Ethereum are clearly pointing down though. And this is why I've been persuaded it is time to sell this one for now.

Look, I'm with you on Bitcoin, 100%. But I don't think it's the right time to declare Ethereum as a dying crypto asset. It's WAY too early. If your objective is to create a crypto trading channel, or even a Bitcoin trading channel, then fine, I'd say this topic is a good fit. But if you're in it for the "sound money gospel," I think it's better to withhold such claims for now. Don't get me wrong, the information you provided is valuable. It's a good idea to build up pieces of evidence like this over time, so that when the time comes you can not only make the claim, but you'd also have good evidence to back it up.

The only faces and pockets it will melt are the ones that aren´t the founders of the supply an the ones with less than 33 ETH for the votes of the nodes. That thing has CEO and faces behind the blockchain so is high risk invest and governmments don´t like competitors for their CBDC´s systems.

After everything is built on the POS-ETH it will transfer over to POW-ETC the original Ethereum blockchain.. ETH is just a test net.. ETC is hard $ just like BTC .. just my opinion..

Its true the Eth ETF has not performed as well ss the BTC ETF but the BTC ETF was lauched in the bull market which started Jan 2023 by April this yr that particular Bull Run was over since April onwards no crypto has been going up much its all stagnant !! BTC is a long way off the high it made in march this yr a new BR might start Sept this yr or later in which case there will be more institutions invresting in Eth !

@@rhettdemille4404 i wouldn’t say Microsoft:Apple is a fair analogy to BTC:ETH. Due to BTC’s finite supply, holding it guarantees you a fixed percentage of the network’s total supply, where ETH has no fixed supply, thus you need to value it like a business based off its network usage (one that is rife with competition unlike with BTC). Additionally ETH has CEO’s and developer’s who are paid salaries from the coins they premined (70% was premined compared to 0 for BTC). So to summarize my point: BTC is global base-money with no competition, ETH is a smart contract protocol, maintained by a company that arbitrarily uses a coin whose value is dependent on network usage. (The ethereum protocol could be completely rebuilt on bitcoin layer 2’s)
