As someone who's 21 and also battling cancer, On Track is the one song that stood out to me on the album. I had to take time off of college because of my treatment and surgery so all of my friends are graduating while I still have another year and it makes me feel like I'm lagging behind or not where I should be. I need to be realistic about what I've had to go through and On Track reflects the outlook that I need, "Strictly speaking I'm still on track." Despite all the difficulties I've faced and struggles I have I'm still here, alive, and I'm thankful for that and I have the rest of my life to finish college.

My only hope for Kevin as that he circles back to using the guitar as a primary ingredient in his music. He can use synth pedals and other effects to apply all he has learned. You’d be amazed how wild and funky you can make an electric guitar sound. Kev knows this too. Think that F O N K Y riff at the end of Let it Happen. I miss that.

It makes me sad that Patience didn't make it onto the album. I feel like the thesis of The Slow Rush can be found in the opening lines of Patience. "Has it been that long? Did I count the days wrong?" Somehow time rushes right by no matter how slow it feels.

Au contraire, I think Kevin made a great decision by not including Patience bc the beats on the song are v dissimilar to the entire album bc obviously he made Patience way before he actually started work on The Slow Rush. I've only just recently allowed myself to fully investigate Tame Impala, I heard The Less I Know The Better years ago and loved it but decided to sort of "save them for later" if you get me. So I finally came back and got into their music hardcore just as their newest album dropped and I'm Absolutely Blown Away by how layered and complex their production is, it sounds timeless and trancelike. I really mean Timeless too, I've shown them to unknowing friends and they all had Absolutely NO Idea that their music was so recent. They're everything I love about Daft Punk, Arctic Monkeys, MGMT, and more all wrapped up into one all encompassing hypnotic disco-funk-rock sound crossed with ethereal vocals and gripping lyrics. I'm in love with their music and they've made my top three in a short amount of time

Summed up well from the Tame merch shirts, "If you're meddling where incompetence and lack of skill predominate it is time to reinvent. Walk towards your future. Focus and invest your spiritual, financial, and emotional energies into accomplishing a new skill for the new you"

This is literally my favorite channel. The analysis, the research, the production and the editing, and the fact that it's just wrapped up neatly in less than 20 minutes 👌 Middle8 doesn't drag the video out and everything fits and I love it.

i also think that with the CD release, the album’s songs and their lyrics are written on a calendar that is in 1992. and each song ‘spans’ the whole year and the change throughout, starting with being fine with time, asking for another year to finish stuff in january with One More Year, having relationship problems in march with Borderline then finishing the ‘year’ with asking for just a little more time with One More Hour
