Blackstar is referring to Lovecraftian horror. You cantell because he mentions Carcosa on the album. Like in the first season of True Detectives?

To this day, i dont hear “this could be the last time” in a single second of that sample…ive been a jazz musician for 30 years…if this was the standard…the rolling stones have stolen and lifted plenty…as well as nearly every blues album for the last 100 years….

My wife referred to their music as mushroom music, not sure how she would say that having never done mushrooms. Ornacular spectacular was an awesome album, I like all the songs.

it is the greatest masterpiece ever made in music. to realize you are going to die and make an album about being afraid of it, about accepting it and then accepting you will be replaced. it is a rare piece of art. i love the documentary on max about it too.

Nothing happened to Coldplay, in order to stay at the very top they had to appease an even wider audience. It was a calculated and very wise choice. They are career orientated and mega talented so they can do any kind of music extremely well. They asked the universe 🌌 what direction would yield the biggest audience and whether that's your taste or not its the pop younger market that sells and keeps you in the limelight. SIMPLES😊❤

Great review of their albums! Just goes to show how trivially replicable the whole modern music industry is these days. These guys can do anything, in any genre and still be considered innovative. Plus they should call out The Grateful Dead, who they were no doubt inspired by. But great, interesting band nonetheless. Millennials love them, and why not?

The night that Blackstar music video randomly appeared on you tube and I clicked it and was mind blown by everything in that video but I was immediately stunned by how drastically aged up Bowie looked it wasn't that long ago he looked healthy in The Next Day video to me but in the back of my mind I said he's dying.... I didn't want to believe that since I had just gotten into Bowie year prior but than I woke up to the news....

Flash delirium is the song i wish i wrote. It gave me chills .I was young again. I was pretending what it must have been like to listen to the playback thinking . This song sounds like everything that we loved in music, but its ours . These guys can do no wrong in my books. This is what i think they should do. Is a parody of Taylor swift, and THAT other GIRL that sounds like her,and the other one. Sell millions . Do a press conference saying its their farewell concert like BOWIE did every 5 y ears

Funny enough I was only known Black Star because of the Kanye West prediction conspiracy theory. But it still worth listening, because I'm definitely gonna go to a melodramatic and beautiful album. Very glad tho that Bowie and his team where inspired by Kendrick, Death Grips, and Boards of Canada. Really great inspiration.

“Star” is a word Bowie used many many times, often disguised. “New “Killer Star” (nuclear star). Etc etc

Most people wouldn’t know but these collage kids turn big time musicians were big way before 2009 like since 2003. They are known as “The Management” MGMT being the abbreviation for management. They’re still around but their stage presence isn’t as big as it was 2003-2010

I love The Bends. I must listen to OK Computer some more. Give it a chance, so to speak. I always liked The Bends better. OK Computer I found jarring and challenging. But sometimes I wonder if it were simply a well that was too deep and cold. What a chicken I have been. Still, I love Amused To Death, so time to roll my sleeves up. 🎉
