I think the pot belly idea is really good in the sense, that you can make the tail quite a bit thinner, and thus more flexible, without making the body too flimsy or it looking disproportionate. I think I'll try this also, once I start with some soft plastics too!

Ham hands. I got em too. And hereditary tremors, so my hands and arms move when i don't ask them to. I fight this to make things out of hologram duct tape, twisted wire and treble hooks but I do okay making my Minions line for Here, Fishy Baits. Tape and wire and gorilla glue are very forgiving. I love your imagination and taste in music. Thanks for sharing. I have not poured a bait yet but when I get started it will be great fun to fish with soft plastics made by me.

Replacement arrived!By the way, I did forget to mention that the original lure did have a decent strike however as most anglers will attest you can get a hit kzbin.infoUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 and fish will hang on and release lure. I used the replacement lure yesterday and ran thru a Shimano Waxwing, Kastmaster, Bobber (set to sink). I found the does run deep (I casting on the flats 3.5'). Make sure you adjust your rate of retrieve and rod tip angle (up) to prevent getting snagged on bottom. Used it a couple of times and action was very lifelike (looked like local bait fish for trevally), craftsmanship very good....however eyeball fell out. I asked for replacement and it is on it's way! It was very easy to change out treble to single inline hook.

I figured that i'd show that i'm not perfect and kept that in the video, it would have been easy to just edit it out from the video if i wanted to, but i wanted to keep it real and show that these things happen while we are out fishing or are you implying that you've never made any mistakes when releasing a fish?
@lorenzomarsili81835 жыл бұрын
@@SolarfallBaits Everyone makes mistakes but a good way to avoid this kind of mistakes is simply not throwing the fish around! I place them in the water, oxygenate them a little and they leave my hand when they're ready. That pike release was sad too, needed to be oxygenated!!
@SolarfallBaits5 жыл бұрын
@@lorenzomarsili8183 perhaps your right, i get excited when there is a school of fish around and you want to get your bait out there as fast as possible and get some fish action on your video after hours of casting and catching nothing, this is probably something a person who doesent make videos cant appriciate cos its not something you have to deal with, hence the fast releases that might look a little sloppy at times. There is no need to needlessly oxygenete fish when the fight is short and water temps are not boiling hot, and as you can see clearly in the video after few second of releasing the pike and it orienting it self the pike spurted to the depts.
