I almost got into an accident once when a motorcycle popped up splitting lanes during rush hour. That concept shop is completely impractical.... so, not only does it take up way more space then a regular shop its also way less efficient, the cashier has to sit and wait while you move shelves up and down and pick out items and means if you're doing a weekly shop but i only want 1 thing but you're infront, i have to wait, even though the cashier is also just waiting... it would be horrifically inefficient... what idiot thought that would be a good idea.... even ignoring the health risks of driving inside enclosed spaces in terms of pollutants and also just the fact that we're trying as species to stop individual car journeys, to encourage people to use public transport and not make frivolous trips with their cars. literally everything about the concept is bad...

I agree this is why parking lots are built near the shops. I mean, how are they gonna put the things into the trunk? what if the back seat was filled with kids?... even if the trunk is in the front, how are they gonna put it in? there's no space to store a decent size hole to put your things in(not like you can even stretch your arm that far) or use a machine to put it into the trunk. all trunk designs are different and changing into a car suitable for the market layout is just plain expensive not only that but the number of Enhanced Greenhouse Gasses released due to manufacturing the car is insane. it's like asking every single person on this planet that owns a car right now to change to hybrid cars(for more explanation about that, watch Adam Ruins Everything because he Ruined my explanation)

I usually love everything in these videos, but that just left me with so many more questions than answers. It would need to be twice as big as a regular store, if not bigger because some idiot went looking for frozen pizzas down the dairy aisle and needs to get back out as a queue forms behind him. Then there's the question of how many cars are allowed in at once? An automated system could be put in place but it's less practical than allowing 50 people to do their shopping at the same time compared with a couple of cars. Is it really that hard to leave the car for half an hour to do a bit of shopping? Then you'll get teens drag racing through the bakery aisle while old Mr Johnson is driving around trying to find someone to ask where the constipation medication is and it'll all go to hell in a hand basket...

I would assume that they melted the iron or whatever the main metal is, then infused it with Nitinol to create a sort of memory foam like alloy. After the metal is in liquid state, it is put into a mold. After, it cools and hardens into the paper-clip shape. Seems expensive though, so idk. Just my guess.

I learned about this in engineering. I think its thermo-softening, meaning it softens with heat and hardens at room temp. My guess is it is just moulded while hot.
