I always thought the intro sounded the same. Like the same chords

Jeff makes eye contact with Billy when he sings the line: "there were times I was nice", it reminds me of the If All Goes Wrong documentary.

You mean like the part when Billy tested him (teased and poked and rubbing and jabbed and pressed his buttons and pushed and prodded him SO much to the point of breaking that Jeff removed his guitar and threw it down crashing to the stage floor in a fit of rage?) That time? Only to have Billy (seemingly correctly guess) backstage "what... were you... were you MAD AT ME!?" Spoken like a truely incredulously-acting, manipulative, sociopathic covert narcissist if I ever did see one.. But I just! I'm just joking!!! I kid! I kid!!!

reminds me of A Song for a Son, or Tom Tom, as songs that are very rooted in the big rock of the 1970s... songs that in that time probably would have been huge but today they feel a bit more generic and simple. Also, billy needs jimmy around if hes gonna make epic Pumpkins music. just saying. glad he and James are back in the fold in 2018

gotta admit though, he makes some killer songs when Jimmy isn't there too. Adore, Oceania, and Monuments are all solid.

I agree. Purr Snickety, spangled, blissed + gone, that lover song (or one less moment, I dunno what to call it) are all big winners in my book. I also far prefer the piano version of death from Above live on that tour with Lisa Harrington on piano, The butch thing produced acoustic version of mayonnaise with the tambourine and a different vocal take, and from around the same time as death from Above when Billy Corgan would come out with the 12-string guitar and just play stand inside your Love That Way. Much much much better sounding to me like that. That being said my favorite songs are still glasses theme Cash card Star as Rome Burns bring the light SuperChrist etc etc etc So I guess in my eyes he can just do no wrong

I'm not sure if this one's been recorded and released, could anyone tell me?
@werideatdusk6 жыл бұрын
they were recording it for "Day for Night", the now-scrapped sequel to Monuments to an Elegy. I doubt that version will be released but the new SP lineup recorded 8 tracks with Rick Rubin a few months ago so maybe it will be among them?

It's written on one of the photos they show when Billy is playing Disarm in the current tour: kzbin.info/www/bejne/lWnckJ9oj7dpbcUm11s So my guess is that it is one of the eight.

hmm, sounds like a song to the other members of the pumpkins and the fans. ouch? this song does have more potential, it's just kinda there and a little too obvious. but interesting in a way. simple.
