Was born in 1989 and my brother bought the blue album and I remember listening to this in his car when I was 6, he had a nice ass soundsystem, and I thought this was the dopest shit ever. Been obsessed with 311 ever since. This and misdirected hostility were my favorite songs as a 6 year old. My mom caught me singing along, "You're saying that you're tortured, give me a fuckin break, and maybe take out the source of your despairing. What do I mean? kick the fuckin heroin." She didn't approve, haha. Not sure what normal 6 year old listens to. But it was 311, rage against the machine, and tool when I was a kid. Good times.
@rars0n4 жыл бұрын
Misdirected Hostility is one of my favorites! You had a lot of great music in your young life, when I was 6 I had a Def Leppard cassette. And a Steve Winwood cassette! Uh... yeah. I will say this, my oldest brother turned me on to Led Zeppelin, Jane's Addiction, Nine Inch Nails, and went to the first couple Lollapalooza shows bringing back shit like Rage Against the Machine, so I have very little to complain about. I didn't quite give 311 enough of a chance until years later, but it's all good, I love their entire discography. It's not about what you listen to or when you listen to it, it's about the music you love and how it affects you. At least that's my opinion.
@bobbywhitaker9124 жыл бұрын
Same dude!! I was 7 and my mom actually bought me the blue album because I was so obsessed with the down video on mtv haha. Many many memories listening to that album. Pretty much feels like I discovered who I was in that album a lot earlier than most! Cheers! 🤘🏻

Yeah this isn't a real performance in the slightest. Vocals are perfectly in tune, guitars are using wah effects and not a single foot is tapping a pedal. Sad honestly.
@rars0n4 жыл бұрын
@@ianmason2003 Wait, what? Are you saying this is the 1995 album version? I'm going to refrain from being insulting and give you the benefit of the doubt by honestly asking the question.
@rars0n4 жыл бұрын
@@spoonerluv I'm also going to give you the benefit of the doubt, did you know that Tim Mahoney is the guitarist? He's the guy on the far left side who is usually out of frame. His pedal board is briefly shown at the beginning, and about the :59 point you can see him using the wah. Granted, you don't see the pedal, but he's using it as you can tell by how he's moving. The vocals are not perfectly in tune. I'm not sure what you're hearing there. Typical Nick vocals, with SA not singing a damn thing, so none of his vocals have to be in tune. And also, it's nowhere near the album version, which is why I left the previous guy the comment that I did. Again, I want to give you both the benefit of the doubt, but are you freaking serious? Really?
@ianmason20034 жыл бұрын
Adam Baldwin interesting way to communicate. Do I care if you are insulting? You are a stranger in the world, you can’t insult me. But back to your question, someone said the recording was high quality. I said so is the CD. As in the CD made in 1995 is outstanding production quality.
