Such an iconic song back in the day! This was a huge song. LoL classy grunge is a great way to describe it. My favourite by them is Today!

Great reaction to my favorite band! You mentioned that the Pumpkins sound wasn't as hard as other 90's bands - when actually it was their hard rock/alt that put them on the map, and it's still some of the best hard rock out there. I suggest Bullet With Butterfly Wings and Cherub Rock next.

This song was Corgan dealing with the abuse he suffered as a child

30 years later and it still slaps. 🤘🏽 0:22 The name of the person who requested the song did _not_ appear but thanks nonetheless. 👌🏾 Hope to see more 90’s music reactions!

Unless you were there it is hard to understand how good and how different Gish and Siamese Dream were. Yes, Billy Corgan is a genius. But Jimmy Chamberlain is a savant on drums and Butch Vig made it sound amazing.

This is my album. I saw that tour in DC. One of the things I loved about his voice was that it was different! I believed I could succeed as myself and not have to be like the norm.

Billy Corgan hated being classified as alternative. He'll tell you he plays rock.

Might Smashing Pumpkins should, and will go down as one of the best bands ever walk. This planet, their vast and diverse catalog can stand with anyone’s in music.

I agree about the string instruments… the music sounds so much like a Beatles song

The "Siamese Dream" album by the smashing pumpkins, which "Disarm" is on, is top 15 of all time in any genre! Imo, of course. "Disarm" & "Tonight, tonight" are great songs/singles, but not really representative of the Pumpkins very distinct signature sound, aside from Corgans quirky voice.😅 Fuzzy & busy guitars + Intricate jazzy drums. Dreamy soundscapes that are also heavy! They definitely stand out from the rest of the 90s alternative crowd! Love your channel btw! You have great taste and I'm enjoying being along for the ride on your musical journey ;)

This song is about him being sexually abused by step mother who would insert things into him. What's a young boy supposed to do. He would always try to DISARM her with a smile. Cut that little boy. It burns. With this story from him, listen to the song again. "Hedlok"

After hearing your reaction, I think you should be a writer for Rolling Stone magazine, or even New Yorker magazine as a musical critic! Bye again!
