It took me this live performance to fully appreciate this song. I think it’s way better than the album version. The rhythm is much more audible and adds an electronic vibe that I missed on the album. Also, Jonny’s delay effect fits the song perfectly.

I think this was from Magazine Show #2 on 30th Jan which started at 1am. It was absolutely magical to be there. This track in particular made it feel like cold and beautiful light was falling all around in the round. Afterwards, I got home at 4am, slept 5 hours, and then went back for the 11am Magazine show for more of the same. Sometimes with certain bands and artists all other considerations just go out the window. During lockdown, I wondered whether I would ever see live music again. Post-lockdown, I wondered if i'd ever see Radiohead again. I'm still wondering that now. But even if Radiohead never play live again, we will always have these Magazine shows, and now we have ALFAA too- which is about as perfect a record as i've ever heard in my life. I genuinely believe that Radiohead will still be one of the bands that people of the future will be listening to in 300 years time. No time spent listening to Radiohead is ever time wasted. 'How to Disappear Completely' is the greatest piece of music i've ever heard in my life. It's so good that I don't think even Radiohead will top it.
