Will this man ever produce anything that will NOT blow my mind off??? There is not one album from Radiohead, nor from Thom solo (incl. AMOK), that did not get me by the balls immediately. The way this band and this outstanding musician Thom Yorke have developed and reinvented themselves over the past 30 (OMG!) years isn't comparable to any other band I have encountered in my life. And now this: New project, new song, back to the roots somehow, and still mindblowing, explosive, inspiring, magic. The new album will hit like a hammer, I am sure! Once again, this underlines why I have a portrait of Thom's tattooed on my arm!

Beautiful words Jorn. Radiohead hit me like a brick in 1995, aged 27, and while i ventured away after OK Computer I came back in 2007 for InRainbows, then went back to the catalog, and then forward via King Of Limbs, AMOK, AMSP, Suspira, the re-released OK Computer (Lift, DayDreaming) and now the Smile. what a journey!

One thing i enjoy a lot of these guys (Thom and Jonny in this case) is that they have this way of saying to themselves "I want to make something new" , but not in terms of releasing new material just for releasing it, or in the case of Radiohead´s material, not for looking for a greater thing, you know? They just take the instruments, and when you hear this song , for example , you feel that fun they surely felt when working on this new project. There is never a pretentious feeling with these guys. No matter if it's a different style from the one they usually look for in Radiohead, no matter if it sounds closer to Pablo Honey, it's just enjoying making music, and when you enjoy doing something, the quality stays there, no matter if you make a variety of the path you usually take, musically speaking in this case. That's the magic i find in these guys.

Holy hell! More please. Nasty. I effing love this so much. What can't Radiohead do? Even their side projects are awesome. 100mph punk. Let your speakers burst. It's like they scored the ultimate Lou Reed smackgob to rip that propulsive Velvet Underground needle push and ran it headlong into The Fall's "Is This New" with its judge and jury, deciding in the end to bang it out with a Zeppelin sledgehammer. Goddamn. Best song I've heard in a long time. These guys always seem to find the spirit level for our age. Psychopathic, raw, chaotic, guttural, instinctive, venomed, anxiety-ridden and doomed but for the handful of us that give a fuck among the sleepwalking zombies and a worldwide fascist reboot. Talk about a riotous crowd anthem. This song makes me want to throw myself against bodies.
