When I was hanging out with Pat,, he said this was one of the greatest moments in his life, to be able to do this duet with Belinda... I wish Pat was still here, The world could really use his voice and new music..

I can understand why you feel this way. This is Pat's most memorable song. Similar to "You've got to hide your love away". Pat was a kindred spirit for many. Good on you. :)

I love this song. Can't go wrong with The Smithereens or Belinda Carlisle with or without The Go-Go's.

One of the greatest college/alternative rock bands of the 1980's and early 1990's. My dad turned me on to these guys when I was in my early teenage years, and I've been a fan ever since. Rest in Power, Pat. You may be gone, but you'll never be forgotten!

This has always been a favorite along with Kiss Your Tears Away, In A Lonely Place, Anywhere You Are. Pat wrote some beautiful songs with a style that sweeps you back in time to an intimate setting. The Smithereens are one of a handful of groups that I could take their albums and play them on a loop all day long and never tire of hearing them.

One of those songs...you know, the kind of a song that just fills every emotion. Amazing how well Pat's and Belinda's voice meld together to make such an amazing sound.

Around the 1:27 mark, it sounds like “in my life” by the Beatles

Ok Belinda fans, who can tell me if she took a pause while filming her video for Summer Rain to be in this one. Looks like the scenery and her looks are the same...

There's so many songs from this time period that I didn't even realize had videos because I was away at college and didn't have cable t.v. or I was out of college and didn't have cable.

Two bands: Smithereens AND Sloan who deserve more respect for their Beatle-influenced work.

Did Pat write this? I have noticed that their lyrics are really good on every song, and that's how I judge a band.

This is a great video all around. Both Belinda, and the blonde Chello player really make it a smash.💥 I miss those days, because of Belinda. Otherwise,…. 💩
