This is my song, It's written about me! When I was Fleeing the ghost of Morrissey! He let me go But I did Have to do at least 18 months in prison! It's all there. The guilded beams are the guilded beams of light came from the pupils of his eyes (But only when I looked in the rear-view mirror) I was driving on the lanes(highway). I think from the lyrics it's about sexually teasing someone but then Morrissey feels fear and uncertainty and doesn't want to prolong it, I'm unsure if the other person involved actually does prolong it or not.
