First heard this in the hang out room at Amsterdam’s ‘Hotel My Home’. Where upon dorm rooms check in you got a joint, or a beverage. This LP, and the Twin Peaks vhs playing, were… prophetic and memorable above the incessant ambiguity on the street two floors below. Anyhoo. The Smiths.

The media would always go to Morrisey for a comment on just about everyone & everything. Ironically this landed him in hot water because of his honesty. That’s what the song’s about. Boy with a Thorn in his Side is a similar lament. I loved Morrisey and his hilarious take on the times. ❤
