I've got a real one of these and I must say, now that BB gun is a real beauty. I'm a german Shooter and also a military historian. I need one of these in my collection. It was the mainstay of the British army from the early 1900's to the late 1960's and some countries and certain terrorist organisations still use them even now. It's a brilliant snipers rifle too. My grandfather still had his until the 1970's and he'd had it from first issue before the second world war and right the way through it. He'd also tried a Kar98 at some point but he preferred his .303 "Smelly" as an all round weapon. Without getting political, the ONLY thing he really said about the war was that the German soldier was doing what he also was trying to do, that was, trying to stay alive long enough to get back home and that we were on the wrong side. Hope you have a good new year, and all the best!

@@buckers67buck77 Thanks for New Year's wishes, mate. There's always been one rifle in military history that stood out from the crowd. In the flintlock era it was the French M1777, in the percussion era it was the Enfield M1853 and since the introduction of bolt action rifles, the SMLE and the Mauser K98k have shared this honour. I just love the universal usability of the ENFIELD, its reliability and the beautiful shape of the rifle. Also to you and your family, a happy and healthy new year 2020. Don’t apologise for the phone ringing, thats (hopefully) cash coming in! Great looking shop 👍
Picked one of these Lee Enfields up this afternoon myself, got a good trade in deal from my local RFD. They even threw in a sling too. There is actually a wee bit of steel in these too, the trigger, trigger guard, rear sight, magazine release catch, firing pin and middle band are all steel. I was prompted to check as in one video the reviewer says the trigger is plastic and someone replied in the comments that they'd tested it with a magnet and it stuck. I wholly thought that it woud be alloy as usual but nope, he was right the magnet stuck fast.

I love the lines of the Enfields and I’m glad I picked up several of differing varieties when they were priced under $150. If I were unable to own the actual firearm I would jump at the chance to own this facsimile.

Air Rifles should look like Air weapons not facsimiles of firearms...the only reason they exist is because in some countries Firearms are more difficult to obtain...Legally...UK being one of them... when I was a teenager Webley, Diana and BSA made some very good accurate rifles, especially the 'tap and under lever cocking' types.... they didn't need to look like a Lee Enfield, Winchester or a AR-15... apart from the afore mentioned, using a 'replica' for any form of criminal activity is inherently dangerous.... the police , even in UK will kill you..

Back in the 60s I was a UK sea cadet, we fired the Lee Enfield at Bisley, the kick was so great it would push us down the slope a bit, great fun.big bruises next day, oh, and ringing ears, no ear defenders in those days, when boys where men, now a deaf old man.

I was a Sea Cadet in the late fifties, I too was able to shoot this famed rifle. On parades we used deactivated rifles complete with a bayonet. The was to be the only time in my life I got to shoot the Lee Enfield, I believe I was 13/14 years old. I have owned a Feinwerkbau 300SU since new, now over thirty years old. I believe Air weapons should look like air guns, not facsimiles of firearms. Its still possible to buy a deactivated Lee Enfield, albeit it more expensive than that silly thing , but at least it will be the real deal..

I'm a total newbie when it comes to air rifles but I've been wanting one of the SMLEs for a while now. I've been waiting for some reviews before committing & I enquired about one online earlier with a dealer & was told they were sold out of the ones they'd received but wouldn't be getting any more in as they'd gotten 30 of them, opened a random 7 of the batch to check them out & found they'd had a mix of damage to the wood, scratches on the metalwork & gas leak problems fresh out of the box. That's worried me a bit as to whether or not it's a solid product as it's not exactly cheap. I can't really decide between the SMLE or one of the Diana K98 rifles. I have a keen interest in WW1 & 2 era weapons & have always loved the look & history of the SMLE. That's what I'd buy with my heart, plus it has the realistic bolt action but it's a gas powered bb vs the K98 which is what my sensible side is leaning towards as it's a spring powered pellet rifle which looks to be robust but it doesn't have a bolt action at the back so doesn't look as faithful to the original although I think it looks pretty decent with a period looking scope fitted. Thanks for the initial look in the video, think I might wait for some more in depth reviews of how it handles & how the gas system & magazines hold up to some use.

Well another Sunday and Monday I'm returning my 303 back to the shop and asking for my money back last Sunday my new gun would not gas up strike one my son had taken it back for them to fix it now it won't fire strike two I'm not going to a third this is going to be the third time I'm driving back there so the rifle was 399 now add fuel for three trips off a 120 miles I was so happy when I heard they were bringing this rifle out but wish the hell they didn't

I meant to ask you, mate, do you know of any British supplier that sells the 'Seneca Aspen' and/or the 'Gamo Maxxim Elite Swarm Gen 2' air rifles?
@LloydSchober4 жыл бұрын
I don't think anyone is importing the Seneca at the moment but the Gamo can be bought from most AIr rifle stockists , or at least ordered in for you :)
@wolfenstein66764 жыл бұрын
@@LloydSchober I can find the first version of the 'Gamo Maxxim Elite Swarm' in Britain, but not the 'Gen 2' version with its superb low profile magazine, Lloyd. This 'Seneca Aspen', or the 'Nova Freedom', could have been the 'ultimate prepper's rifle', but the first pumps and seals they used for them were poor in design. I've heard that the new pumps are a big improvement on the originals, though.

I've gone off CO2 guns because most tend tend to malfunction shortly after warranty expires and then you're screwed. Finding someone who can repair them is tricky enough and then the cost to get it fixed is the value of the gun itself, so often you're just left with a useless gun you cant do anything with. The metal in them is miles away from the strength of steel and parts break quite soon. Also for the price they could put the power up to 10ft.lb or something, why do they always make them so under powered? You can buy a real SMLE for about £550+ and my 1934 dated Mosin Nagant cost me £300 as a live firearm. The only thing going for C02 guns is they look nice.

Hi I've just brought one and went to use it and it wouldn't gas up my son took it back to the shop and they did something to it know I'm looking forward to Sunday to try it again but I will lose my cool if it doesn't work because its a120 mile round trip to the shop we've now done it twice all for the love of the rifle so fingers cross

hello I followed a lot of your videos I found it very interesting can I ask you for advice so I recently bought a Weihrauch hw100 but the problem is that the silencer and fixed it does not want to detach from the barrel the seller told me that the barrel is unthreaded so please tell me how to remove this silencer to replace it with another thank you for listening
@LloydSchober2 жыл бұрын
Must be a very early gun, which had a muzzle weight not a silencer. Best thing is to remove ( heat to break the loctite) and then have your barrel threaded by a gunsmith . He should be able to remove the weight as well for you if you don't want to risk damage.

If you find out anything, let me know. I just (10/25/2020) noticed on evike.com a Lee Enfield SMLE produced?/marketed? by a company called "Big Bang" -- looks Chinese. ETA "November" ... cannot figure out if it's the same as the Brits are showing here. Pyramyd Air has no listing I could find.

Is this a full scale replica? It looks too short for a standard issue rifle but about right for a carbine.
