Hey guys, a lot of you know how to create and use "regular" freeze frames, and a lot of you know how to use "easy ease" key frames, but how many of you know how to use the graph editor to get the smoothest animated movements ever. In this tutorial I'm gonna show you how to do this in Adobe Premiere Pro.

Great Tut Josh! It’s so commonly overlooked yet very important for smooth animations.

When I move elements around on screen, I always add a directional blur. It takes away the strange choppy look and gives a simulated motion blur. So in the case of this video, start the movement with low blur, increase with the velocity spike, then gradually lower it until it comes to a complete stop. Having the frame before the end of the movement without any blur.

Use transform to add Motion blur

I know this video is a bit old so you might not see this, but I was wondering if you could decrease the amount of inbetween frames that it automatically adds so that it looks like it's going at a lower frame rate. Like instead of changing the position every frame it does it every other frame or even every third frame. I'm going for a hand animated look and the amount of inbetweens makes the movement too smooth giving it a more CG feel. Is there a way to accomplish this without placing all those frames by hand?
