I think "George OF the Jungle" is the most serviceable cartoon-brought-to-real life-'90s-movie. I mean, it has nice visual humor for kids and a message while at the same time there's polite and funny verbal humor for adults. ...But most of all it does justice to the source material.

Leon, I may not be the biggest fan of The Smurfs movies but I don't think they deserve the hate they get. The reason why adults and some teens don't like these movies as much as much as 7 year-old kids is because they fail to realize that the comedy from these movies comes from an energetic performance by Hank Azaria as Gargamel and absurd slapstick comedy situations. Adults and some teens expect The Smurfs movies to have allusions, pop culture references, social commentary, dark humor, surrealism and sexual innuendos just like in the Scooby-Doo duology, the Garfield duology, Underdog, the Alvin and the Chipmunks trilogy, Yogi Bear and the Inspector Gadget duology. The Smurfs 2 may not be as good as The Smurfs, Scooby-Doo 2 Monsters Unleashed, Home Alone 3, the Garfield Duology, Underdog, the Alvin and the Chipmunks trilogy, Yogi Bear and the Inspector Gadget duology but it's not as disappointing as the first Scooby-Doo movie.

No they expect something good from a franchise they know or something that give them the attention to check the series from the 70's.But all these movie you mentioned they all share a common decease and it's called:No respect for the kids intelligence and totally butchering of the source material.And hank azaria's gargamel is one of the most idiotic characters i have ever seen on film because his plan of this movie has flaws from the get go and the idiot doesn't realize that he's already a fucking god and the world blows to him,so why the fuck does he wants to continue that selfish pursuit other that he's running out of magic.
