I think it would be really cool to see him go to like North Dakota or California or anywhere else maybe even Oklahoma. I couldn't tell you how many Common Carp I've caught in both the Buffalo River and Red River here in Minnesota. Those things get positively huge and put up a nice fight. My late father didn't know that they were worthwhile to eat and so we almost always threw them back. The Asian immigrants (mostly Vietnamese) that'd be fishing and would see us being uninterested in them would ask if they could have them. Of course we were happy to oblige. Those observing from the North Dakota side of the river from us on the Red though could only grumble and, though I don't know the meaning of the words they were using, they were definitely cussing us out. My late mother had an unusual talent for attracting the biggest though, on her dinky little spincast reel, and landing those "fresh water sharks" which were dubbed so for their sheer size. I both envied and pitied her. The envy was for the fight but the pity was for the fact that we only ever kept the channel cats, saugers and walleye we'd catch. I didn't learn that they were a non-native species introduced as a food source until I was an adult. Were my late father still alive I wonder what he'd say about all of that wasted fish? Ah well, keeping the Channel Cats was enough, they were sooo good.

That last spillway is one of my favorites. Recognize it right away. Closer to the dam there I had caught a 43 lb flathead about 4 years ago. It has been an adventure every time.
