Jessica's point about earnestness is sooo important. It's also way more fun to work with founders that ooze with authenticity. :)

she herself is so honest and earnest in the way she speaks. like there is very little, hidden agenda. its amazing how much of that comes across.

As a female founder who just faced rejection from YC, listening to Jessica's journey and insights is both comforting and inspiring. It's a tough road, but knowing that even the co-founder of YC had and still has her own struggles and triumphs similar to mine gives me hope in a sanguine way.

Got 31 and yes needed to google the definition of some words but when you break them down it oddly becomes easier 😅 + the eyebrows play a huge role

I like the way YC gives back to the world in terms of invaluable advice for startups. This is gold.

One of the most powerful and somewhat hidden people of Ycombinator 😊 thank you both for this 🎉 People on HN read a lot of articles, papers and X/Twitter, maybe that’s why PG is more known? 🤔 After finishing the podcast: I hope Jessica could have a KZbin version of the podcast “The Social Radar”. I often just listen, but be able to see part of the podcast visually make it easier to relate, “connect” and remember it. And if I’m on a train it’s better to have the video than watching out into the air. Edit: Seems like there is a KZbin channel 🎉 just not linked to on the webpage (that this podcast is pointing to)

One of my favorite episodes. And timely too as I'm about to submit a last minute application with my co-founder tomorrow! I took the quiz and got 34/36. It was hard but I think it helps when you just trust your gut instinct.

Great emotional IQ and observational skillset Jessica has. No question her impact on YC was huge and continued now with Social Radars. Definitely follow

Love the Social Radars podcast. Hope they will add whole episode videos, not just clips. It's interesting to watch how people speak. I hope there is somebody like Jessica in YC now to be the one to see startups that look bad on paper but are interesting in reality. Wonder whether YC with existing managers would accept AirBnB now.

I think Jessica possessed a unique physiology/mind reading skill, that she applied to select great Founders. YC wouldn't be where it is today, without her, sad that she didn't get the due recognition.

I got 30 out of 36 on the quiz, which I guess makes sense for a performance artist? Slightly above average but not exceptional like Jessica.
