Yea, like soda is pretty good but it's not healthy to drink so much. I do hope his kidneys don't get extremely ill. I had a uncle who suffered kidney failure cuz he always drank soda, and it got much worse since he also had diabetes. Unfortunately he passed away few days later after he had kidney surgery 😢

Pour it in a water bottle and slosh it side to side without a lid let it fizz and settle then repeat till there is no more fizz , I also shake my cans and slowly open it just a little so it hisses it can be hard to get it right at first without them spraying you but you get the muscle memory down after a point

that's not weird, it's hard for us to swallow CO2, it's a gas and causes gas bubbles in your stomach and sinuses depending on any issues you have or just how you drink and your sensitivity. I pretty much only drink carbonated stuff if my stomach hurts because it forces me to burp and relieve bloating I already have. If I feel fine, then carbonated drinks casues unnecessary gas I didn't have and isn't pleasant, sometimes I don't want my drink too fizzy, and some colas and root beer also have a very strong flavor that burns my throat along with the carbonation. I usually have it over a scoop of ice cream (as a float) to cut down the fizziness with some creaminess, and that works for me.
