@@eireoutdoors1355 RTÉ used to stop broadcasting sometime around midnight and they'd play the anthem just before it. Not sure when it changed exactly.

@Fíonán Murphy 1961 was when Irish television commenced. 1926 was when radio broadcasting began in Ireland.

@People Republic edi jopolong If your not joking the BBC is the British Broadcasting Corporation, which if they done it, it would mks t likely be God Save The Queen, which as far as I know is the Anthem for the Whole of the United Kingdom, not England and Northern Ireland Alone.
