You need to stay in zap range, not closer, not further, if they run at you kite them, ice bolt is really nice for it, you also need at least a budget kit(like 3k gold) to play wizard because it's dogwater in base gear

Referring to what's mentioned at 11:00 , I find arcane shield/ice mastery/spell overload to be an insanely effective build. I see you already run ice mastery, but it's so much better when you have 3 more bolts, and extra survivability.

I’ve been having a lot of fun and success doing 5 spell with intense. Ice bolt, zap, fireball, MM and lightning strike works in solo duo trios. Ice mastery overload quick chant and the knowledge perk. In theory it shouldn’t work no escape little utility but it’s all about knowing your matchups. Vs warlocks, just stay out of curse range and you win the dps trade; even up close hit your ice bolt headshots they die to 2 and a zap, can fireball or lightning strike in phantomize. Look at some of the clips when you use explosion and miss or they get gap because you don’t have a way to slow or intense to get more burst. Like when the fighter was running up the stairs, getting that spell off he’s froze into mobs and dies instead of having to potentially die chasing. More damage you can do quicker the less you will take and less death situations you’ll be in. The cc of ice mastery and having 8 is massive, hitting them once or twice with it them move very predictably and gives free kills. You don’t even need to build high ms just knowledge and some magic damage. Most fights you’re not taking much damage, reactive is good but as wiz if they are getting that close to killing you you’re dead anyway making you more lethal works better since it’s a shield after you’re already hit once. Good players will wait out shield or the shield can give you more indication where you are and easier to hit. Ranged can be rough sometimes but that will give you the space to get some heals off anyway. All of the spells I recommended are the highest damage, and with the least amount of wait to hit or cast time. Lethal walking damage that must be respected. The time spent mentally searching for a spell to use is a waste when you could have more of the spells you instinctively want to use. Think less, and win more 🏅

Yeah, definetly agree that having 8 ice bolts is huge. I have to try that setup for sure :)

How are you even gonna win out of curse range lol they can easily run away and reset you need to all in as wizard vs lock

@@xenird how? Fireball and ice bolt are both out of curse range, it’s only 8m. Zap is the same distance can do in and out of range baiting their curses. If you’re missing ice bolts or fire balls much within 10-15meters you should probably play something else lol

@@xenird don’t let them. Break doors with explosion or fireball, you have more distance spells. Chain off hydra, jump over ice bolt etc. if they’re using hydra drain, that’s most likely hr. If you’re doing hr as wiz you need good gear, at that point you can easily win dps trade vs warlock. Can stand still and still put dps them lol

good vid! i think you added the same clip twice? Anyways i wanted to ask why ur using reactive shield over iceshield?

You're right, I wanted to make a lil intro clip but needed to show the clip again for the story. Will be making that clearer in the future! Also I'm using reactive shield in case of warlocks since I didn't have that much hp during this vid, but might be wise to swich to ice shield seeing as there are more and more rogues w/ cutthroat.

why is wiz the only class sometimes to get that error hit when you cast a spell at someone and your curser is pointed at them yet the game doesn't say you hit him and your shot misses i see it in almost everyone's video
