Why does Matthew put the last piece of his jigsaw in his mouth when he was opening the pepper? He could have put it down on the desk, there was plenty of room. And why does Sooty say “oh, no” when the piece of jigsaw falls out of the boy’s pocket? It would have only fallen on the ground and he could have got it back easily. It wouldn’t have made any difference if the dog had been there to catch it or not.
