This comment is for anyone who works in the music industry. Is there anyone out there who hates how scenes like this are always portrayed so incorrectly in movies and tv shows? Anyone who's worked in a recording studio or in a band instantly sees how none of this is realistic. This scenes isn't much better than when the Brady Bunch kids went to record in the studio! First of all, there's the obligatory singer holding headphones to the ears while singing. Second there's three guys singing at 3 microphones set up right next to each other (that would never happen). But what's worst is they're all shown singing simultaneously; when there's only one voice on the recording. The dialogue between the band members and engineer is full of cliches (in a series that features some of the best writing in TV history). The singer responds by saying "Look dude... I recorded in Denmark". That's one of the worst lines of the entire series. Do the writers really think music people are that ridiculously stupid? It's the same in the scenes of them playing in the bar. The actors portraying the musicians do a terrible job miming to the recording. The "drummer" is really bad (not playing what's actually on the recording). This show is so excellent in every other way. Maybe that's why this bugs me so much? The falseness of these music scenes drives me crazy. It's always the same in movies; it's presented the way people imagine it would be in a studio. Why don't the producers hire someone to assist or co-direct music scenes so they have an air of realism? I guess the vast majority of fans couldn't care less; but it drives me crazy. I know it's stupid but I can't help it.
