One of my favorite scenes in the show. Any of the other mob characters would’ve at least told the woman and children to stfu, but Paulie made sure to lovingly let everyone know it was just a bad dream he had. Stand up guy, for a made man.

That’s actually one Paulie “evil moment” that is somewhat understandable. A lot of people have extreme negative reactions when discovering news like that. In the end, he made up with his mom, but discovering news like that really screws up a lot of people who aren’t murderers and thieves.

I actually think he was sincere when he regretted how his and Chris' relationship was almost always contentious. Of course, Tony shuts him down. Was that because Tony had the same problems with Chris and didn't want to accept it, or maybe because he actually didn't want Paulie to keep beating himself up? The beauty of this show was that it was so well written and acted that you can always see something differently.

You know…Paulie’s whole life motto is “You do things and you don’t look back” so for Paulie to feel serious regret about the way he treated Chrissy, when Christopher passed away. Shows that Paulie felt extreme remorse and genuinely wanted to do better.

Sal would make a full recovery. Beansie got it the worst, I think. Some runners-up: Vito's brother (beat up by Mustang Sally) , Blundetto's old associate (the one Phil pulled out of the car and beat the crap out of), Sunshine (quick death, but unnecessary), Hesh's son (beat up by Gerry "The Hairdo") .

@@thetrainmon Yea, but with Sal I'm talking about beyond the injury, how he got stuck doing everyone's lawn for free, when Paulie really didn't accomplish anything for him anyway. Beansie got it bad, but the other thing about Sal was that he wasn't part of the life, just an outsider innocent guy trying to make a living who screwed by Feech, and then continued to get screwed by everyone who tried to help him with his Feech problem
