Agreed. Although I do think the trajectory of the show would’ve been very different if Nancy Marchand had lived. Livia testifying over the airline tickets was going to be a big deal and could’ve been a huge win for the feds. Once she died the show pivoted to make the other mobsters and the NY crew a bigger threat to Tony. Notice how Ralph is introduced immediately after Livia dies.

Adrianna made the most basic mistake of any person that's been arrested: never _under any circumstances_ speak to the cops, keep your mouth shut & ask to speak to your lawyer. Even after talking to your lawyer, never snitch or say anything to the cops bcuz the cops _can not_ do anything about your charges... only the prosecutor can cut deals. The cops can only write a letter telling the judge you assisted them, which will never get you completely outta your charges. Snitching only gets more people in trouble, it never gets you out of trouble it just gets others hemmed up in your bs

@LosOjosTristes
@LosOjosTristes 9 ай бұрын
@@jefferycrouse4652 It was Adriana's fault for staying with a junkie who hit her. It was Christopher's fault for telling Tony. It was Tony's fault for giving the order. Cubitoso was maybe the 6th or 7th person on the totem pole of whose fault it really was and even then it was indirectly and to take down the mafia.
@ckrysl7
@ckrysl7 9 ай бұрын
@@LosOjosTristes I definitely blame Christopher and Tony the most, but Cubitoso is definitely number 3 on the list of blame. You're underplaying the FBI's decision to work through Adriana. She's very clearly not an affective CI. After one or two meetings with her they would have been better off just going to Christopher directly and leveraging his connect to help Adrianna. Or at least coaching her to work Christopher from the get go instead of rushing it like they did. The FBI (at least Harris and Cubitoso) made a high risk, low reward move and they knew it. I understand your inclination to blame Adrianna first, but victims of abuse staying with their abusers is a very complicated subject and, unfortunately, is fairly common in the real world. Before the FBI got involved, Christopher easily could have had her killed just for leaving and probably would have based on his abusive possessiveness of her and his decision that lead to her death. Even if he wouldn't have had her killed, she's financially dependent on Christopher and his mob connections. If she left, she would have to move far away. Moving across town is expensive let alone across the country. All of her jobs except working for Artie were mob jobs. Even Artie's restaurant seems to be fairly dependent on Tony's patronage. She could maybe have leveraged her job experience to land a job on her own merits since she did seem to be pretty good at running the club, but it would be a hard industry to get into if you didn't have any connections. Lastly, her family members and friends were all mob connected. If she wanted to leave she doesn't really have a non-mob support network to help her adjust to a new life. The only non-mob friend she had was "Danielle" which is why she seems more hurt by the reveal than by being busted and why she attaches to Agent Sanseverino when she becomes Ad's handler.

Wouldnt be able to get any information without eavesdropping and surveillance (i.e. hidden cameras, distributing business camera footage). 12:26 I still get a tad surprised to hear Cubitoso lose his shit and raised his voice at Adriana, especially since he had always been calm and somewhat patient until this point. Comes to show that even a stoic agent like him can get tired of going through years of tedious work and just wants to bring down Tony and his family.

I feel like Agent Ciccerone actually wanted to help Adriana & if things had worked out the way the FBI wanted, Adriana & Christopher would possibly still be alive but, unfortunately, Agent Harris was compromised by his veal parm addiction.

You know this guy brought down Gotti in 91, along with Bruce Mouw. Once that case was closed Mouw retired and Frank here got a bump in the FBI and he was the lead investigator on north jersey mob..unfortunately under his tenure many informants either died or were made compost due to there lack there of protecting there c.eyes. True story here Gotti universe is connected 😂😂😂

@blackfox4138
@blackfox4138 9 ай бұрын
Since cocaine was distributed on Adrianna's property and the FBI has a recording of her admitting it's her coke, according to New Jersey it could be anywhere between 10-20 years plus a $400k fine. On top of that, because her cocaine was related to a homicide, that's an additional 20-30 years. So depending on how the FBI pushed the narrative and how stupidly Ade handled the situation, she could be in jail for up to 50 years. Obviously it wouldn't be that severe, but that's just enough fear the FBI needs to get Ade to cooperate with them.
