Yup Tony Darrow who played Larry Barese grew up with wise guys so he knew a whole bunch of them on a personal level and was involved with them as an associate and that was confirmed with the incident that happened with him and a couple of Gambino guys who were all involved in an extortion incident that happened back in 2004 so he knew the wise guy lingo to a tee.

But the next day after his goodson Benny got his skull cracked and is in intensive care he doesn't come there, saying because of that house arrest but in reality he didn't have that much balls , to get out of house when New York is looting in Jersey and crack people's heads 😂😂😂

Good for Chris and Phil didn't show up there, Tommy would tell Chris " Kid, give me a drink" and Phil who would remind him he was the best shoeshiner , his shoes would shine like f*ckin' mirrors when the kid used to shine them and whatever would happen there 😏😁🫢

I don't think it had anything to do with New York and everything to do with the fact that they don't care about their "own" family. Larry was his godfather and wouldn't visit him in a coma, but he was happy to get pissed at a dinner party. It's the hypocrisy of the Italian-American Mafia culture. The whole "we will deal with this as a family." Meanwhile, people like Benny and Donny K are seriously injured, and people just go "terrible accident".
@mariozd9716 ай бұрын
@@kincaidwolf5184 Well, goodson isn't a real nuclear family, it's often a son of your friend, much more often then real uncle or other relative. Baccala Sr was the godfather of Mustang Sally and we know how that relationship ended.
@kincaidwolf51846 ай бұрын
@mariozd971 It's an important role in the Christian faith. Albeit, it's fallen out of fashion. It is still an important cultural role. The Italian culture puts a strong emphasis on the extended family, not the nuclear family like in former British colonies and English speaking countries. It was Larry who told Tony. Which shows Larry was at least concerned for his godson. Or rather, doing the bare minimum as a godfather.

Albert , the actor who played him Richard Maldone wasn't in too much episodes so he decided to stuff himself, he was in 5,6 episodes so he and his friends started dealing coke, weed, mdma, ketamine. He was busted when he gave an undercover cop a free sample of ketamine. So he was guest of government some time and couldn't be in The Sopranos anymore because of his house arrest so he was written off. His cousin, Larry, the actor Tony Darrow had mob ties, he was convicted for extortion with some Gambino family associate. And Albert Barese defended on the court he was high all the time but wasn't selling, he said he gave free samples to make people happy 😂

I wish there was a sopranos spin-off series. Nowadays its impossible to make one because of woke hollywood. any new sopranos tv content would be garbage just like the movie. but they should totally make it into a book series. a book series would allow it to be raw, unfiltered, politically incorrect, uncensored, just awesome! it would also allow them to have storylines with characters whose actors have already passed away or are too old to act. they could get more in depth about how the business works, without worrying about dumb fans getting bored because dumb fans dont read books. anyone who doubts wether a sopranos book would be entertaining, should read the godfather book by mario puzo. i love it as much as i love the movie, and everything is explained more in depth, everything is darker and more raw as well.

@ceerious i think an anime or a cartoon would be great for a spinoff of game of thrones or something like that (i think theyre already making a game of thrones animated spinoff) But i dont think it would work for the sopranos. The beauty of the sopranos is its sense of realism. And i dont think you can get that from an animated show. Also, the expressions the mannerisms wouldnt look as real in an animated show. But in a book, they just need to describe the expressions and mannerisms to you, and your mind fills the blanks.

It's not about being woke it's about constant sequels and predictable plot lines and guaranteeing money at the box office and asses in seats this annoying little stupid defense about things being woke to just explain things away without talking about it in detail is getting annoying it has been annoying for the past year or two or however long it's been going on the word is not for you conservatives and it doesn't replace an actual thought and yes the movie was pretty bad especially compared to Sopranos but the whole thing was that David Chase was asked to make a movie about the Newark riots and The Sopranos so he had to compromise end of story take that werewolf and shove it up your ass where it belongs with the rest of the fecal matter on the internet I don't think you're a bad person I just think you got in with a dumb crowd

DeMeo was the "old man" in Springfield. They talk about it in the early episodes, or maybe just in the pilot. But then David Chase just dropped the whole back story and it was ignored as if it never happened. You might have noticed at some point the news reporter referred to Junior Soprano as the boss of the family that bears his name. But in the pilot it was DEFINITELY the DeMeo crime family. I never liked that Switcheroo from David Chase. Yes, it was a brilliant series with excellent writing, directing and acting. But still, he blew up the show's continuity almost from the beginning.
