The way he looks at AJ and winks was one of my fav scenes in the entire show. Gandolfini was so incredibly great at portraying the most simple but universal emotions through his acting. AJ was Tony’s favorite person in the world. Any son who’s grown up with a caring father knows exactly what this feels like. Not to mention paparazzi on the soundtrack closing out this episode perfectly. Brilliant just brilliant.

I like how the shot of AJ's death of innocence as he stares at his dad and his gang. The picture along with Meadow's "I told ya so" gaze really hits so hard. Never realized he sees Tony flanked by Christopher And Pussy who both happen to be in sunglasses. AJ's realization of his Dad's dangerous life literally foreshadows the lengths of measure he takes when it comes to maintaining power.

i think the way AJ looks at Tony at the funeral is one of the most powerful scenes in the entire show. A child realising the man he thought was his father that he respected and admired, is really just a violent and very dangerous professional criminal. AJ was a innocent young kid before this scene who was quite likeable, but after this he went off the rails. What's the point in being a good kid when your father pretty much breaks every rule laid down by society
