There will never be mob movies made as good as Sopranos, Good fellas and Casinos, Boardwalk Empire again. As far as I'm concerned, Phil Leotardo was one of the top characters on The Sopranos. Even though I loved seeing him get whacked, he brought a lot to the show as the "old school" type of mafia guy. I was honestly a little disappointed that Phil caved and decided to put the hit out on Tony. I thought it was awesome when, in an earlier scene, he says to his guys "Whack a boss? I won't do it" then the other guy says "it's been done before" and Phil goes "and it was wrong then", totally shutting him down. Another great scene with Phil was in season 5 when Tony chases Phil in his car and boxes him in, causing him to smash into that SUV. Then there was the whole thing with Phil's car seat being "off kilter". What an amazing show.

Phil sad lot of right things about Sopranos family - at the end they all fuck up - he is such a character
@MarcV888810 жыл бұрын
Yes, this was a great scene. I must say, we should all be very inspired here. Why? Frank Vincent has been around as a gangster actor for many years, and yet in the Sopranos he goes over the top. Totally his best role. I mean can you even compare him in his role as Billy Bats next to Phil? And he was great back then too. What I am saying is that Frank Proves that a man who sticks with something(in his case,acting) can keep improving and improving well into old age. I never saw an actor improve so much in his late 60's. My point: IF HE CAN DO IT, WHAT IS HOLDING ALL OF US BACK FROM MAKING OUR MARK?
@MarcV888810 жыл бұрын
The world is changing. Its men in their 50's-80's that are making their dreams come true. And yet...its the the same old tired folks from 1968 who keep complaining how unfair life is. Secret: Life is unfair, it often sucks, but make up your mind to enjoy it anyway. After all, the richest man in the world 100 yrs ago doesnt live half as good as anyone with a computer and a TV and a car today. Be grateful for all this. I am. I mean I give courses on gratitude. I wake up every morning and spend 5 minutes saying thank you. That right there changes your whole life. Peace out.
@MarcV888810 жыл бұрын
Also one of you got me wrong. I am saying we should be inspired by Frank Vincent, because he is an old man now, and he keeps going higher and higher in the world, and most of us arent half his age and we dont do squat. So Im just saying he inspires me that its never too late........... I'd love to see interviews on what his kids think about hanging out with him in real life. He seems like a cool guy when interviewed.
