Memorable scenes of The Sopranos TV Series. It was more than 2 years when James Gandolfini passed away. I miss The Sopranos, I miss Tony Soprano, and I miss James Gandolfini so much.
Sometimes it's good to come back here, and watch his greatest scenes over and over again. He was a very talented and fascinating actor. I hope these videos help to keep his memory
alive.

I don't think much of anything affected him this much. It broke Tony's heart. Goes to show, say what you will about Tony, he feels something.

"...broke Tony's heart." Uh, not really. He has more important things on his mind. First, how much do the feds know? Second, when the feds flip one guy it has a domino effect. A snitch will turn on others to make a deal. Third, he's lost an earner. Fourth, his outfit has been weakened and rendered vulnerable to attack by other crews. Fifth, his status as a capo has taken a big hit. He could get clipped himself for this.

Leon Allan Davis did you even watch the show? It did hurt him on a personal level
@LeonAllanDavis
@LeonAllanDavis 7 жыл бұрын
Don't have to watch the show. I saw enough to know that the writers, producers, and directors romanticized mobsters. That's not how they are in real life. Trust me on that one. There's an old truism among members of the Cosa Nostra: "If you get clipped, it will probably be your best friend who pulls the trigger." Them's just the cold, hard facts of being in "the life". In my opinion only one movie has ever been made that showed mob life like it really is: "Donnie Brasco". A couple others have come close, but "Donnie Brasco" nails it cold. The "Sopranos" was unrealistic in so many ways. The one thing that really gripes me is that Tony was a capo without a crew. He had his made guys but where were the soldiers? His nephew got made but that was it. Everybody else was straightened out but they had no soldiers with them. A capo always has a half-dozen guys hanging around. It made me crazy to see Tony drive his own vehicle, answer his own door, and go out into the driveway for the paper. Soldiers do that all stuff. A capo always has a driver. Always. And a made guy riding shotgun. And a follow car.

Not a bit, seriously. I started watching XPW and thought at first it was the stupidest, juvenile tripe ever. But after half a season I got hooked and I've never enjoyed a series more. It was hokey with cheap effects and they would break the fourth wall a lot. They would have a musical episode or a comedy episode and then four or five episodes of blood and guts. But it had themes of friendship, loyalty, the gods and religion, sacrifice and betrayal. And Lucy Lawless and Rene O'Connor swinging swords while wearing skimpy costumes didn't hurt my eyes.
