I feel bad for many characters in this series who were taken advantage of by organized crime but Dave Scatino isn't one of them. Ritchie just treated him like any other customer who was a deadbeat and Tony really did do almost everything he could to keep David from joining the executive game. He warned him multiple times about when he allowed him to enter. Then when Tony was asleep he kept grabbing thousands of extra dollars in credit for himself to keep playing.

We all wanted to see the showdown between Richie Aprile and Tony Soprano, the only villain who really put the family in trouble. Also, the character development that David Proval gave him is really incredible. Richie's vital gaze, his immolated and unwavering expression, visual anger, and all his essence, is what left him as a cold and exact character for evil. It really is pathetic its end. Matt and Sean would have prob gotten somewhere in that life if instead of trying to whack Chris, maybe spent more time learning the game from Richie. They actualy were kind of vibin and Richie was one of the only adults who treated them with at least a little decency and respect.
